Bank teller's unborn twins died

Tragic developments in the shooting of a bank teller. Both of Katherin Shuffield's unborn twins have died.

Katherin Shuffield was five months pregnant when a bank robber shot her in the stomach during a robbery Tuesday morning at the Huntington Bank on 21st and Post.

24-Hour News 8's Mary McDermott was with the babies' grandmother when she learned the sad news. Although the bullet missed the twins, surgeons had to remove a section of Shuffield's intestine and her appendix. Shuffield first lost one of her babies then the other.

Greta Wagers was too shaken to talk about the tragedy. A good friend spoke for her.

Judy Bullock said, "She's really takin' it bad. And the only reason why I'm over here is to stick beside the family and my friend Greta."

Katherin's husband Jason released a statement:

"On behalf of our family, I would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and concerns regarding Katherin's condition. While Katherin remains in critical but stable condition, we are sad to announce that our twin babies died late Thursday night. Katherin's recovery is our top priority and she continues to receive the best possible care. Her comfort has been aided by her mother, a native of Peru, South America, who was granted a tourist visa from the U.S. Embassy to help us during this very difficult time. We will update the media at a later date and ask for privacy as we recover.

We appreciate the community's collaboration with law enforcement as they continue to investigate this case, and encourage anyone with relevant information to come forward."

Marion County Prosecutor news conference:

"Clearly when we have the shooter, we will be looking at what the appropriate charges will be based upon the death of these two babies," said Marion County Deputy Prosecutor David Wyser.

Wyser said it won't be manslaughter because Katherin Shuffield was only five months pregnant and her fetuses wouldn't have been considered viable under Indiana law.

Legally in Indiana, fetuses aren't considered able to survive outside the womb until the seventh month of pregnancy. Feticide is one potential charge in this case.

"This isn't something we're just going to jump into. We have to fully analyze it, investigate it and make sure that we understand all the facts before we make a charging decision," said Wyser.

Police release four men arrested in bank shooting

Three of the men arrested in connection with the robbery walked free and a fourth man now faces charges for lying to police.

The man told police on Wednesday he knew everything about the robbery and was in one of the cars headed to the bank. He's no longer charged with conspiracy, instead he's charged with lying.

According to police reports, 25-year-old Shed James told police he helped plan the Huntington Bank robbery. He also provided officers with a list of accomplices.

On Wednesday night, police arrested James and three other men. All faced preliminary charges of conspiracy to commit a bank robbery.

Police later found James' story didn't pan out. Police said James has still not explained why he lied.

Four days after the robbery and shooting, police have little to show. The gunman and as many as five accomplices remain at large. Police continue to press hard as they search for information and leads.

"We're putting the pressure on. We will continue to put pressure on those individuals who we know have violent crime histories and things of that nature," said Lt. Jeff Duhamell of the IMPD. 

The prosecutor's office admits manpower was wasted dealing with Wednesday's four arrestees but officers had to take time to verify James' story.  In the end, innocent men walked free.

"That part is what's good. We're not accusing someone of doing something they didn't do. And we have no evidence to support what they did," said Deputy Prosecutor David Wyser.

"We're far from over as far as closing this case. One, the shooter is still out there. We need any information. Anything that can help us," said Lt. Duhamell.
 
Police are asking for tips that will lead them to find the gunman. The suspect is described as dark-skinned, 6'1" to 6'2" and weighs around 215 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, blue jeans, and a blue stocking cap.

Police are asking anyone with information on this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS. 

A fund in Katherin Shuffield's name has been set up to help the family. Donations can be made at any Huntington Bank location or mailed to the following address.

Muslims convince their young men they should sacrifice their lives for "Allah" (and, of course, for the 70 odd virgins). When a man is so dedicated to his cause he is willing - - eager - -- to sacrifice his life to it, he becomes very dangerous. The last time America faced people so dedicated was the Japanese Kamakazies during WWII. Those dedicated Ks inflicted far more damage on the US Navy than did the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. But, the difference is that in the 1940s, America too, was dedicated. We took the losses (Which outnumber our Iraq/Afghanistan losses at about 100 to one), without complaint and won the battle.

We still have dedicated Americans who are willing to take the heat. Unfortunately, we also have a large number of Americans who couldn't care less about anything other than their own immediate security, pleasure, and wealth and wealth and wealth. Our politicians are mostly in the "wealth" camp. Those that cling to the ideals of truth, honesty, good of the country, economic sense, regularly get trashed in the polls by the money of Soros, Peter Lewis and their ilk.

In many respects, America in the 2000s (today) is a re-run of the 1920s. In the 1920s, this country was wild. The stock market was rising on nothing more than greed (It was a giant pyramid scheme). Moral traditions, Judeo-Christian ideals, were mostly ignored. The moralists decided to blame the inanimate object of liquor rather than the man/woman who over indulged and misbehaved. So, they instituted "prohibition" - - which lead to more abuse of liquor than had ever existed while it was legal (and created overnight millionaires - one named "kennedy"). Today's moralists have not studied history and are caught in the same trap. They blame "guns" (inanimate objects) for gun crime rather than the shooters and seek "prohibition" on gun ownership. And, predictably, where they are able to ban guns, gun crime increases exponentially. When a crazy goes berserk in a "gun free" zone (such as Virginia Tech, Columbine, etc), they seek further restriction of guns from law-abiding citizens, rather then focus on the real culprit - - the crook or crazy with the gun and the lack of armed citizens to repell him.

By the same token, they have concocted another inanimate villain we should all fear, "Global Warming". They seek to persuade the public that the world is well on it's way to burning up and if we - - - not they, of course -- - - will just stop burning fossil fuels and give them the government power they seek, "They" can conquer the "evil global warming". Once again, we are sold the bill of goods that we, ordinary citizens are to blame and that government must control our behavior so that we do not destroy our society - - while they work full time at their object of destroying our society.

The best thing that has happened to America in the last century was the great depression! To most people (including those who experienced it) that is a shocking statement. But, it taught us some real sense. We learned to work, to survive, to do things we had never done before and succeed. It forced government to put a clamp on some really bad economic practices. It toughened the US Public so that we were able to win WWII, even though we started from a losing position and our enemy thought we were too spoiled, soft and stupid to beat them. I truly believe what we need now is another economic catastrophe! That sounds crazy, but money is now our god and unless something happens to cure that dementia, we are doomed. . . . . . JMC

From a previous post here (one of many), we wrote of the potential challenger to the Dishonorable Murtha, LTC William Russell. William Russell was removed from the ballot through some shady goings on via some RINOs that Murtha contracted to railroad William Russell off of the ballot. That was typical Leftinistra tactics - if you cannot win honestly, cheat.

I would like to think that us blogging and talking about him on our shows helped but we will never know. Now, he needs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and lots of prayer. Murtha will stop at nothing to see to it that he stays where he can screw anyone and not be held accountable.

Muslim Supremacy, Part I

Recall the events in Beslan, Russia when jihadists slaughtered 186 children and 148 other non-Muslims? Widely reported on many news channels and in newspapers, the events on the morning of September 3, 2004, shocked and horrified many of us. Few Muslims actually celebrated the murder of innocent children but fewer still actually denounced the event. There was little passion from the Muslim community over the almost routine murder of innocents in the name of Allah.

By contrast, Westerners posting cartoons of Muhammad or desecrating the Qur’an brings out the passion exhibited by deadly protests, arson, riots and issuing fatwas to slay the unbelievers. Killing non-believers in the name Allah simply produces yawns and indifference in this community.

Following the jihadist attack of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, there have been 10, 851 at the time of this writing (that number is now over 11,000) deadly terrorist attacks carried out in the name of Islam throughout the world. And yet we still do not see outrage…passionate outrage on the part of Muslims. But mere mention Abu Ghraib or the Quantanamo detainees and the recent video from Geert Wilders, Fitna, then you see outrage in the Muslim community.

Many Westerners puzzle over this obvious lack of moral perspective, in particular are those who attempt to reconcile the politically-correct assumption that Islam is like other religions and is peaceful. Many even believe that God and Allah are the same, going so far as to say Islam and Judeo-Christian values are based on the same principals, teaching universal love and friendship.

Many of our own political leaders believe Islam is truly a religion of peace. This article from Front Page Magazine, “Islamic Supremacy at The DNC” shows just how naïve they are. Please note that this article displays the never ending political-correctness of the DNC, we should also understand that political-correctness permeates our media and the body politic. It isn't just the DNC who embraces it.

The dark reality beneath the rosy assurances of Muslim apologists that Islam is all about peace and tolerance lies the truth that Islam exhorts violence, hate, and deeply rooted indifference.

Simply stated Islam teaches hate, and requires believers to kill in the name of Allah. (Reference: Verses of Violence and from Answering Islam, “Is Islam a Peace Loving Religion.”

The Qur’an displays the distinctions between believers and non-believers, Muslims versus non-Muslims, heaping praise upon the former while condemning the latter. It is a far stretch to believe that Islam teaches universal love and peace based upon Muhammad's own words and those written in the Qur’an. Islam teaches the inferiority of non-believers, comparing them to vile animals showing Allah's malicious pleasure of oppression and hatred towards them.

Allahs plan for non-believers is eternal torture in Hell. Clearly Muslims are encouraged, even commanded to treat non-Muslims harshly based upon the teachings in the Qur’an and words of their prophet Muhammad.

Judeo-Christian values command us to love one another and treat each other with respect. We are taught that God is love and that anybody coming to Him seeking the truth of His word will have that revealed to him. Believing in Christ is prerequisite on our journey to salvation and eternal life. A Christian is taught humility and an abiding tolerance for others especially those who do not share Christian values.

A look into the Qur’an and Islam shows a pattern of violence and aggressive disregard towards non-Muslims. This pattern is persistent throughout Islams dark history.

Muslim superiority and arrogance reflect the message of the Qur’an and is characterized by oppression and discrimination of all non-believers. Within larger societies in our modern world, Muslim minorities are distinguished by peevish impatience, dissonance and armed rebellion. Few Muslims are disturbed by this obvious double standard.

Depending on the situation and/or issue, Islam plays the victim card or victimizes others. Islam is a supremacist ideology imposing subjugation on non-believers making them subordinate to Muslims. Any who resist Islamic rule will be forced to acknowledge their inferior status by whatever means necessary until they submit and convert or pay a poll tax, jizyah;

Jizyah is the tax imposed upon Non-Muslims(Dhimmis) living under Muslim rule according to the Qur’an and hadith: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold forbidden that which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. Qu'ran 9:29

Imagine Christians attempting to impose a poll tax on all non-Christians. Ridiculous! There is no other religion on earth that draws such sharp distinction between its own followers(believers) and non-believers, nor is there one that dehumanizes and condemns those who choose not to follow Islams unholy arrogant doctrinal system.

Muslim apologists are correct when they say Islam teaches love and kindness, but miserably fail to add that applies only to other Muslims. Any who fall outside the Muslim community are persecuted and condemned for their non-belief and failure to submit.

They also claim Islam as a religion of peace and that Muslims seek peace. Again what they don't tell you is that Islam will be at peace when it is the only practiced belief all over the world and all other religions are either destroyed or submit.

Muslim supremacists loath and disregard non-believers. The Qur’an commands the superiority of Islam and mandates the use of violence to establish its doctrine. This is no “misunderstanding” or “hijacking”of Islam by radicals. It is the dogma of their belief at the direction of Muhammad himself who led military campaigns to subjugate other tribes and religions at the point of a sword, setting in motion highly aggressive campaigns against the five other major world religions mere decades after his death.

Muslims may be punished by death for the murder of a fellow Muslim, Bukhari 83:17 but no Muslim can be put to death for murdering a kafir (non-Muslim), Bukhari 83:50.

The Qur’ans so called “Law of Equality” assigns human value and rights based on gender, religion, and status. It is the exact opposite of equality as we know it in the Western liberal tradition.

Muslim apologists are always ready to dismiss the violent rhetoric of the Qur’an with “creative” interpretations, torturous and nauseating explanations including outright denial, but the words from their own book condemns their deception for what it is, a violent hate filled book.

The Qur’an commands Muslims to be merciful among themselves but hard against the disbelievers, Qur'an 48:29 .

Allah wishes triumph over non-believers; And never will Allah grant to the unbelievers a way to triumph over believers, Qur'an [Pickthall] 4:141

Non-believers must be subjugated under Islamic rule; Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. Bukhari [Yusuf ali] 9:29

Perhaps now you understand a little about why Muslims tend to behave so arrogantly toward non-believers.

Muslims often refer to non-believers as the vilest of animals, even going so far as to claim Jews and Christians are the “sons of apes and pigs”, Bukhari 5:60 and Bukhari 2:65 continues the theme.

Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. Bukhari[Yusuf ali] 98:6

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe. Bukhari [Shakir] 8:55

According to the Qur'an 7:176 unbelievers are "panting dogs" with regard to their idiocy and worthlessness.

A hadith says that Muhammad believed rats to be "mutated Jews" Bukhari 54:524, also confirmed by Sahih Muslim, Book 42 verses 7135 and 7136.

Qur'an 46:29-35 say that unbelieving men are worse than demons who believe in Muhammad.

Christianity teaches that God loves all men but hates sin. This is not found any place in the Qur’an, in fact it clearly states that Allah does NOT love those who disbelieve in him.

For He loves not those who reject Faith, Qur'an [Yusuf ali] 30:45

According to Muhammad Allah loves only those who obey him: "Obey Allah and His Messenger": But if they turn back, Allah loveth not those who reject Faith. Qur'an [Yusuf ali] 3:32

Surely Allah does not love any one who is unfaithful, ungrateful. Qur’an [Shakir] 3:32

In the Qur'an 11:118-199, Allah does NOT bestow mercy on everyone, choosing not to guide some; And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright. Qur'an [Pickthall] 16:9

If Allah does not like you then you are destined for the most terrible eternal torment in Hell; Those who reject our Signs, We shall soon cast into the Fire: as often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for fresh skins, that they may taste the penalty: for Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. Qur'an [Yusuf ali] 4:56

Allah hates non-believers so much he will cause them to commit sin and prevent them from believing in him, relegating their destiny to eternal fire and damnation. There are over 400 verses in the Qur’an describing the torment he has prepared for non-believers; And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it shall not be accepted from him, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers, Qur'an [Shakir] 3:85

Allah does not love unbelievers who are but fuel for the fires of Hell; (As for) those who disbelieve, surely neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them in the least against Allah, and these it is who are the fuel of the fire, Qur'an [Shakir] 3:10

Allahs “angels” will torment unbelievers on his command; “O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.” Qur'an [Pickthall] 66:6

No good deed by non-believers is rewarded by Allah; The parable of those who reject their Lord is that their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day: No power have they over aught that they have earned, Qur'an [Pickthall] 14:18

Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds? Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works? They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. That is their reward, Hell, because they rejected Faith, and took My Signs and My Messengers by way of jest. Quran [Yusuf ali] 18:103-106

If you do not believe Muhammads claim as a prophet you are going to Hell; Surely those who disbelieve in Allah and His messengers and (those who) desire to make a distinction between Allah and His messengers and say: ‘We believe in some and disbelieve in others’, and desire to take a course between (this and) that. These it is that are truly unbelievers, and We have prepared for the unbelievers a disgraceful chastisement. And those who believe in Allah and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them-- Allah will grant them their rewards; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful, Qur'an [Shakir] 4:150-152

Christianity teaches punishment for sin and wickedness but there is relatively little said about Hell, the emphasis being on personal and eternal suffering for selfish, cruel deeds. Every 12th verse of the Qur'an teaches of Hell vividly describing Allahs wrath on non-believers. In short, disbelieving Muhammads personal claims about himself and Allah condemns non-believers to Hell.

But as for those who disbelieve , garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down upon their heads, Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted; And for them are hooked rods of iron Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning. Qur'an [Pickthall] 22:19-22

Well, at least for Rep Murtha. He has some 'splainin' to do in more ways than one. As you will recall, or not, some time ago, via some shady goings on, LTC William Russell was removed from the PA ballot and it was concocted at such a time that there would not be enough time to go around and run a round to get the signatures that he needed.

The next order of battle was to have at least 1,000 PA voters in the 12th District write in the name of William Russell. Primary day came and went and lo and behold, miracles of miracles, the goal was not only met but was exceeded and they are still counting them.

Tonight, LTC William Russell will be on the American Truth Warriors Blog Talk Radio show at 1900 hours EST (7 PM EST for you civilians). He will explain The Why he started in on this journey and how he overcame the back door shenanigans of the man he seeks to unseat this November.

The shooter is described as a dark-skinned male, about 6'1" to 6'2" tall, around 215 to 220 pounds. Tuesday night, they said he wore a blue stocking cap, a dark face covering, a gray collared jacket, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes with light-colored heels, and surgical gloves.

The shooting victim, 30-year-old Katherin Shuffield of Franklin, IN, is pregnant with twins.

Many of you have asked me from time to time about Stop the ACLU memberships.  We fully would like to do that and it is most definitely on our radar but to do so, we would need several thousand dollars upfront to bulk pay for items that would be included in a membership package, such as a Stop the ACLU T-shirt, bumpersticker, certificate, refrigerator magnet, cap, etc. (not necessarily all of them, though all memberships will have a T-shirt). Once we get, say $5000 in hand, we could order the stuff in bulk and then get it shipped here.

We are bringing fresh new blood to the coalition and will be making some significant changes in the coming weeks.  We are also preparing to upgrade our website in the next few months. We are fully cognizant of the problems with it - its feasibility, workability, font size and other items.  Of course, this will cost money as well but we need to make our site as state of the art as possible.  We are getting frequent visitors and many of them come to us from links at other websites as well as our first page ranking on Google on many such searches.  But we need to do a lot more to raise greater awareness of the ACLU and its agenda and to pry its supporters away and a sharper website will certainly further that effort.

As part of the need to shake things up and bring in a serious team to work to dispose of the ACLU, effective immediately, we are dismissing every state coordinator with the exception of Betty Merry, our outstanding representative for Arizona.  Betty has worked tirelessly with us to expose the ACLU in her state and has been to many events in Arizona to pass out our cards and Stop the ACLU buttons.  The efforts of the remainder of our coordinators have largely been minimal and in some cases non-existent.  This is unacceptable to me and while we understand that circumstances occur that cause people to leave us and/or take a leave of absence, the lack of communication and reports from those who we selected to be our representatives in the various states is inexcusable.  This has been very disappointing to me as we expected a reasonable effort from those who were deemed qualified to take on this position.  State ACLU directors are fiercely committed to their organization and we have to be at the very least the same, if not much more so, to ours.  

To cut loose the state coordinators we currently have is not something I enjoy doing but it shows that we have folks who are not serious about doing th! eir job.   We deeply regret that we haven't been able to pay them as we wish we could.  We certainly understand that some of you may have left us in that regard because of the lack of pay.  But what is not permissible is the lack of communications from those of you in that position.

There are a couple of you (you know who you are) that have told me about your personal situations and while I do include you among the dismissed, I would be happy to speak with you about the circumstances surrounding them.  If we can resolve them, we will bring you back aboard, though your job description will partially change.

The few of you who are still mailing letters to churches, thank you very much for your efforts and for the time being, please continue to do so.  We are greatly disappointed at the lack of responses from virtually all of the roughly 3000 churches who have thus far received our letters.  We anticipate moving in a different direction but for now, keep mailing our letters.  We will advise you when to stop.

In place of our coordinators, we are looking for a team of 7-8 individuals who will be part of the Coalition's "Inner Circle" and help build a nationwide structure. 

If you are interested, please read this article and then towards the bottom, review the requirements we are asking for and then if you feel you qualify.  We will only be able to proceed as we have funds to do so but we at least want to get a core group in place.  The content of this article will very likely move you to want to take aggressive action against the ACLU as it further codifies founder Roger Baldwin's effort to make Communism the goal of this anti-American organization.  The content is what sealed the decision to return and to organize our Inner Circle. Outrage in Indy - Do you know this person????

There is outrage in the Indianapolis and surrounding areas today as a manhunt for a gunman who shot a pregnant bank teller in the the abdomen is in high gear. The shooter is described as a dark-skinned male, about 6'1" to 6'2" tall, around 215 to 220 pounds. Tuesday night, they said he wore a blue stocking cap, a dark face covering, a gray collared jacket, blue jeans, dark-colored shoes with light-colored heels, and surgical gloves.

The shooting victim, 30-year-old Katherin Shuffield of Franklin, IN, is pregnant with twins. 

WISH-TV 8 in Indianapolis is reporting:

An employee at the bank told police that the shooter entered the bank screaming for everyone to get down. Then, according to the employee, the man leapt over the counter and fired the shot that hit Shuffield. Shuffield, a teller at the bank and five months pregnant with twins was shot in the stomach. The employee said the man grabbed the money out of the bank drawer and fired a shot into an empty chair near the door before fleeing northbound from the bank.

The StarPress.com is reporting this:

The shooting sparked indignation from Indianapolis' mayor, who has made the fight against crime a priority for his administration, and police chief. The teller is five months pregnant with twins, who are doing fine, neighbors and the mayor said Tuesday night.

Shuffield was shot in the abdomen Tuesday morning at the Huntington Bank branch, 2030 N. Post Road. Tuesday night, police continued to seek the person who carried a 9 mm MP5-like rifle into the bank about 9:30 a.m.

"It's such a senseless thing to do," Mayor Greg Ballard said. "I can't even imagine what goes through the minds of these people who would do such a thing."

And this from the Chief of Police:

IMPD Chief Michael Spears, angry at what he said was an unprovoked shooting by a "gutless robber," said officers were outraged and would do everything possible to find the man:

"Nobody's going to get away with shooting a pregnant bank teller in this city."

At this time the teller and her twins are in stable but critical condition. Even though she was shot in the abdomen, neither baby was hit by the bullet. 

The FBI has been called in to assist in the manhunt. WTHR TV13 had this additional information about the FBI's involvement in the case, 

Wendy Osborne with the FBI, who is assisting in the manhunt, says the investigation may include more than one person.

Members of the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force and their local field office are helping local law enforcement in the search for the suspect. Osborne said they will also help conduct interviews and gathering information to create a suspect description.

Mayor Ballard also had this warning, "We will hunt these men down and bring justice upon them."

I swore an oath of allegiance to this country many years ago. As far as I know that oath has not been rescinded or canceled. It is still in effect and will be until the day I die.
I support the Constitution and this country, warts and all.
And yes, I would like more than anything for us to be at peace....real peace. Having already been to one war I do not relish the idea of going to another war but I will no question. Years ago me and a bunch of other Nam vets swore that if we had another war we would not sit idly by while the protesters disgraced our soldiers, sailors, Marines, or airmen. No MORE, NEVER AGAIN!

These "peace thugs", so appropriately named, have no concept of real peace nor do they have the first clue on how to achieve it.

Once again we see the lefts notion of peace and once again I would warn you to be prepared for any eventuality if or when you attend one of these so called "peace rallies".
The vicious little criminals who did this will get theirs someday.

Turn the other cheek? How many times do we have to do this before we fight back?

Do You Know What Really Ticks Me Off?????

You know - makes me more sick to my stomach than the stomach flu I just got over. Irritates me so much that they would degrade my intelligence by even suggesting such nonsense??? 

It's a hilary clinton (fyi, I don't capitalize the names of people who don't respect our troops!) television ad running here in Indiana that is listing all the things about President Bush that the "queen of crapola" would do better. In it, she has the nerve to include in the list that she would be "tough on China"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This from the spouse of the man famous for giving secrets to the Chi-Coms.

She can't have it both ways - she either needs to separate herself from the "clinton years" or quit insulting us with such garbage. She uses her days as First Lady as her so-called experience, then she needs to take the flack for the blunders of that clintonian legacy. 

I wish I could say I feel better after getting that off my chest, but the next ad I see will be an obama commercial bragging about his foreign policy accomplishments ---- ggggrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

Gospel or Garbage???

Rap stars spread the gospel, but is it a mixed message?

Joc appears on stage for a performance as an assembly of youth swarms toward his direction, screaming at the top of their lungs.

Only this time, the rapper delivers a message nothing like his raucous songs "I Know You See It," "Dope Boy Magic," or his smash hit "It's Goin' Down."

"I'm not trying to be a preacher, but God is real in my life," he says, while his 2-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter stand near him at an event called Exodus, a soulful revival for youths.

After Joc's testimony, the host of the event, Corey "CoCo Brother" Condrey, asks everyone to pray for the rapper. Many in attendance drop to their knees or stand place, tossing their hands toward the sky.

This is a scene Condrey, who created the event, has longed to see. He has set up a platform to marry hip-hop and gospel together through his nationally syndicated radio show, "The Spirit of Hip-Hop" and the yearly event Exodus. Condrey is using well-known rappers for their celebrity status, putting them in the forefront to spread the gospel to youth.

"We're trying to instill Jesus into them," the Atlanta-based disc jockey said. "We're making it cool, fly and showing them how they can go to their schools among their friends and love the Lord. And, it's coming from people who they can relate to."

On his radio show, Condrey has held interviews and prayer sessions with rappers such as 50 Cent, Ludacris, Kanye West and Young Jeezy. The show has also featured guest appearances from gospel stars such as Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams and Smokie Norful.

"I've been through a lot of different things," 50 Cent said on the show. "I feel like God is the only reason why I'm strong enough to get through those situations."

Exodus, a free event, has grown over the past three years, drawing between 3,000 to 7,000 fans. Condrey has changed the venue of the event each time, holding it once at a nightclub, a church and recently a skating rink.

After all, it's also an opportunity for fans to see their favorite artists.

"That's how we reach them," says Bone Crusher, who performed a rock-infused version of gospel. He is also known for his controversial hit "Never Scared," which drew attention for its vulgar lyrics at an Atlanta Falcons home game a few years ago.

"To reach those type of kids, you have to go into the gutter and get them out of (difficulty). Yes, some of it is unorthodox and derogatory. But it's something I have to do to get the people out."

Certainly, hip-hop could use the good publicity, especially since the genre has been under increased scrutiny for its sometimes misogynist and violent lyrics. LL Cool J believes the hip-hop industry can benefit from rappers offering their spiritual testimonies to their fans. He hopes if that does happen, mainstream radio will embrace it.

"For popular artists to go down and speak to kids about God, righteousness and love for God is great," rapper LL Cool J said. He recorded a the rap gospel-type track "We're Gonna Make It" featuring gospel duo Mary Mary off his 2006 album, "Todd Smith."

"Especially, when the kids actually respect the artist and maybe seeing a topic in different aspect," he adds.

But minister Orlando Bethel calls Condrey and the rappers' actions hypocritical. He thinks youth shouldn't be taught about God by rappers such as Joc, who is currently facing a felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in December last year.

"There are people who say they're saved, and they're living in sin and think it's OK," said Bethel, who protested the event along with 15 others. "Then there is another category of people that are not saved. That's not right."

Some from the gospel industry think otherwise. Dr. Bobby Jones, host of the long-running BET gospel show bearing his name, says he has mixed thoughts about how non-churchgoers receive the message but is open to mainstream rappers speaking more about their relationship with God.

"I think it's very narrow-minded for someone to categorize an other one's relationship with their spirituality," says Jones. "Who are we to say what's right or wrong about what somebody develops? It doesn't matter if five minutes ago someone sang about the love of their life in a very intimate position, then the next five their talking about their love of Jesus Christ."

Gospel singer J Moss says a rapper's testimony may be the only one someone gets.

"It could be their only church," he said. "God is for everybody."

Condrey would know. He switched from hosting a popular radio show where he only played secular music to a hip-hop gospel platform in 2005 (The show is in 15 markets and syndicated by Radio One). He changed his format after persuading a homeless caller not to commit suicide while on air, saying he "began to hear God telling him to shift into a different arena."

Since then, Condrey said he quit drinking alcohol and vowed to be celibate until marriage, trying to lead by example.

After speaking at Exodus, Joc was inspired to record a track with R&B gospel singer Justin Clark.

"It was one of the defining moments in my life," Joc said. "Somebody might say, 'How can you talk to kids when you have a gun charge?' But accidents happen and people make mistakes. With young men and women looking up to me, I have to let them know that I'm a man of God."

Ok, so I waited until the end to give my opinion so that you would read the story first, and was hoping you would try to guess what I would say. And so........?????

I believe that any time that the word of God, and the story of our Saviour, Jesus Christ gets out, then that is a good thing. Some may question motives and other things, but the bottom line is that God's Word says the His Word will not return void. If those who are doing this are doing it for the wrong reason, they will have to answer to the good Lord at the Judgement. 

I won't go so far to say that I endorse sinful behavior in the name of evangelism, but I don't personally believe that is what this is about. 

There are those who can reach certain segments of the population that others may never get the chance to reach. Having never been a drug addict, I would have a difficult time relating to someone who is trying to get clean. My brother-in-law, a convicted drug dealer, who has given his life to the Lord and has been in the ministry for several years now, knows what they are going through and would have a much better chance at reaching that person. I'm told that Charlie Daniels, when asked why he didn't change his appearance when he gave his life to the Lord said something to the effect of - I can reach people with my long hair and cowboy hat that you would never have a chance to talk to.

Some of you know that my daughter and I were an automobile accident this past Thursday. Both of us were banged up pretty badly, but there were no broken bones and even though we were transported to the hospital by ambulance,we were treated and released the same day. 

As I said we are still in pain and will probably feel the effects of the accident for months and maybe years to come, I am thankful for many things. 

This is a picture of the car that hit us so maybe you can understand why I say "I'm thankful"!

Hamas leader offers truce if Israel withdraws from 1967 lands

DAMASCUS, Syria - The leader of Hamas says his Palestinian militant group is offering Israel a 10-year truce if it withdraws from all lands it seized in the 1967 war. Khaled Mashaal says he made the offer to former President Jimmy Carter in talks on Saturday.

Mashaal says Hamas would accept a Palestinian state limited to the lands Israel seized in 1967 — an implicit acceptance that Israel would exist alongside that state.

But Mashaal says the group would never outright formally recognize Israel.

This is what happens when you negotiate with terrorists. And for all those headline writers who have been saying that "Hamas would accept Israel" shame on you for helping spin the words of a leader of a terrorist organization.
