As many of you know I am the proud mother of a United States Marine, Staff Sergeant, William Johns. He's served several tours of duty in the War on Terror including three separate deployments in Iraq.

So when it comes to anti-military politicians who are bad for our troops, I take things pretty seriously. And I am furious with Democrat Scott Murphy who is running in the hugely important Special Election for Congress on March 31st in NY-20.

Murphy has just come out against the death penalty for terrorists - even those who orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attacks. And he also came out in favor of closing the terrorist prison at Guantanamo Bay, because he thinks we treat the prisoners too rough. And remember, Scott Murphy was an anti-military activist who fought to keep the military's ROTC program off the Harvard campus.

We can't let this man represent our country in Congress. His contempt for the military is obvious, and he's little more than a "Blame America First" apologist -- soft on our enemies but hard on our troops.

On Monday I am going into the radio studio to record a brand new ad we at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee will be running against Scott Murphy on this issue.

Simply put we've got to raise $25,000 in two days to get the new ad on the airwaves so voters can know the truth about Scott Murphy. I've pasted in a copy of the script for the radio ad below. Please - we have so little time to make this all work and get this ad on the airwaves, I really need you all to pitch in with a contribution. The maximum allowed contribution is $5,000, but I know you can only contribute what you can afford. I just hope there are others out there who can help this proud Marine Mom fight back against this anti-military jerk who is running for Congress.

RADIO AD SCRIPT – “ANGRY MARINE MOM”

ANNOUNCER: MARINE MOM, DEBORAH JOHNS:

I’m Deborah Johns, proud mother of Marine Staff Sergeant William Johns.

William has served multiple tours of duty in the War on Terror because he wanted to give back to the country that has given him so much.

I’ve therefore become very active supporting our troop, sending care packages to our military men and women serving abroad, and also making sure our leaders stay loyal to the troops.

And let me tell you, I’m furious with Scott Murphy, the liberal Democrat candidate for Congress.

Mr. Murphy was an anti-military activist in college – fighting to keep the military’s ROTC program off campus.

He co-wrote an editorial calling the military racist, sexist and homophobic.

Murphy advocates closing down the terrorist prison at GITMO even though the U.S. Attorney General says some of those terrorists would likely be released here on American soil.

And now he’s announced that he opposes the death penalty for terrorists – even those who orchestrated the horrific 9/11 attacks.

Folks, our military men and women deserve better than liberal Democrat Scott Murphy.
