Some Pictures from Our Visit to the WW II Memorial

Harold and Lucy Gilliland leaving the Metro and heading to the WW II Memorial. First time on the Metro, and first time at the Memorial.

One of the panels that line the entrance to the Memorial.

President Truman said it all.....

Harold and another WW II vet who served in Germany.

This lady was with a large group of WW II veterans from Virginia Beach who took a one day trip and arrived at the Memorial shortly after we arrived. Harold got to talk with dozens of these "real American heroes"!

Each star represents 100 men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice during WW II.

This is just the beginning of dozens of pictures taken by Mrs. CP (annieb) that we will post from our trip.
