Grizzly Groundswell Coming to 2008 Republican National Convention

Chad Everson, creator of GrizzlyGroundswell.com has organized an internet media event to cover the 2008 Republican National Convention (RNC). Cyber Pastor and Mrs CP, owner of Do The Right Thing Radio, will be participating in this event each day at 1:00 pm (eastern) at their Blog Talk Radio page.

Under Everson's orchestration, a few credentialed bloggers will cover the event, giving a main-street media angle to traditional media coverage.

Owners of affiliated Internet radio shows will sponsor special guests in conjunction with the RNC.

Interested parties from across the nation are encouraged to call into the radio shows to ask questions about happenings at the RNC, including whether or not the news articles appearing in their area are accurate.

Everson said the Internet media event has a three-pronged purpose: 1) to hold traditional media sources accountable for the way they report the convention, 2) to validate Internet resources like blogs as a serious form of media, and 3) to create a groundswell of conservative political ideas that will influence upcoming elections and policies.

"If you remember how Television changed politics with the first televised Presidential debate, not necessarily for the better, With our Grizzly Groundswell Strategy, we have the potential to change politics in a good way, a Main Street Media way! We are unleashing conservative thought, voice and image with this online media empire." Everson said.

The Grizzly Groundswell network includes 20+ credentialed bloggers, 320+ offsite blogs, 35+ internet radio shows and 2 video channels streaming 24/7. The convention will be held in St. Paul , Minnesota from September 1 through September 5, 2008.

Preparing For The Republican National Conventio

Mrs. CP and I are busy making preparations for our trip to St. Paul, Minnesota to cover the Republican National Convention. On Friday, we will be leaving to take our youngest daughter and dropping her off to start her freshman year at a wonderful Christian university.

From there, we will be heading to Minnesota. We will be staying at the home of Chad Everson, founder of The Grizzly Groundswell, along with several other bloggers who have been credentialed for the convention.

Beginning Sunday, and every day of the Convention, we will be hosting a Do The Right Thing Radio program at 1:00 pm eastern time. There will also be numerous posts right here on our blog.

So, if you want to get reporting straight from the Convention floor that the Lame Stream Media won't bring - this is the place to be.

We are also working in cooperation with the three groups who we have widgets in the left hand column: Grizzly Groundswell, Heading Right Radio, and Let's Get This Right - three fantastic groups of conservatives who are committed to bringing you, our loyal readers and listeners, the truth that you won't read or hear anywhere other than the "New Media".

34 Days Until Republican National Convention

Now that we are back in the saddle here at Do The Right Thing, I am starting a countdown to the Republican National Convention. For those who may not know, our small blog has been selected to receive "Special Press" credentials for the convention, and we plan on doing our part in getting the reporting out to our blog readers and our BTR listeners.

I will be talking with Chad from Grizzly Groundswell this week to coordinate how our blog and radio program can work with a network of several others to be a part of this huge event.
