JERUSALEM - An Israeli official says Palestinian militants fired on Israeli soldiers from the courtyard of a U.N. school where dozens of people died in fiery explosions.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he said the army is still drafting the country’s official response to the incident.

Palestinian medics said 34 people were killed in an Israeli strike outside a U.N. school in the northern Gaza town of Jebaliya. The United Nations confirmed 30 were killed and 55 injured.

The Israeli official said “hostile fire” was directed at the soldiers from within the school. He said soldiers returned fire and multiple explosions went off, presumably emanating from munitions stored there.

At least thirty people were reportedly killed and 53 wounded in an explosion in a UN-run school in the town of Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinians. The IDF issued a statement saying the school grounds were used by terrorists to fire mortar shells at the troops.

The infantrymen returned mortar shell fire into the school grounds, the army said. Defense officials told The Associated Press that booby-trapped bombs in the school triggered the secondary explosions which killed scores of Palestinians on the site.

The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the number of casualties reported by Palestinian sources.

Channel 10 reported that the military had a video filmed by a drone proving that the school was used by terrorists to fire mortars at IDF troops.

The United Nations said hundreds of people from a Gaza City refugee camp had gone to seek shelter in the school from Israel’s 11-day offensive against the Hamas terror group.

“There’s nowhere safe in Gaza. Everyone here is terrorized and traumatized,” said John Ging, the top UN official in Gaza.

“I am appealing to political leaders here and in the region and the world to get their act together and stop this,” he said, speaking at Gaza’s largest hospital. “They are responsible for these deaths.”

Earlier Tuesday, seven Palestinians were killed in several separate incidents. One young man was killed in an attack on a Hamas charity building, a 15-year-old was killed in an air force attack in the center of Gaza City and five Palestinians were killed when their house in the eastern part of Gaza City was shelled.

Palestinians also said nine members of the same family were killed in the Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza, six of them children. Three other people were reportedly killed in the strike. The Jerusalem Post could not independently confirm the Palestinian reports.

Also on Tuesday, the IAF struck the home of one of the founders of Hamas’s rocket division on Tuesday morning, as Operation Cast Lead entered its eleventh day.

The IDF said that the terror chief, Iman Siam, was in his house at the time of the air strike in the Jabalya neighborhood of northern Gaza.

The army said that in addition to being a founder of Hamas’s rocket launching program, Siam was also the head of the group’s artillery program throughout the Gaza Strip.

At least 10 Hamas and Islamic Jihad gunmen were killed in other Gaza battles early Tuesday, the IDF said. Palestinians put the number of fatalities at 25.

In central Gaza, the navy fired on targets in Deir al-Balah and in the El-Bureij refugee camp.

There was also fighting in Jabalya and in the Zeitun neighborhood of Gaza City.

Over the past 24 hours the IDF has reported escalating clashes in Gaza, with over 50 separate incidents in northern Gaza.

Paratroopers operating near the town of El-Atatra discovered on Tuesday a booby-trapped doll at the entrance to a smuggling tunnel. The doll was safely dismantled.

In an overnight clash, paratroopers operating near El-Atatra spotted a suicide bomber and opened fire on him. The shooting triggered his explosive belt, which killed him when it detonated. One soldier was lightly wounded in the incident.

The IDF announced that it had conducted over 30 sorties during overnight operations late Monday and early Tuesday. During the raids, IAF planes bombed the Jabalya home of Basal Abu Wadi, a prominent Hamas military officer who was at the level of a company commander in Izzadim Kassam. The Jubalya home of another Hamas officer, Ashraf Guda, was also destroyed in a different air strike. His house was said to function as a Hamas Command and Control Center. The house of a third company commander in the military wing, Iman Jalala, was also targeted overnight.

Elsewhere, a booby-trapped house was bombed. The IDF believed that under the house were a number of smuggling tunnels.


Why is the U.N. allowing a U.N. run school to be used as a fire base and munition storage facility?
Hamas booby-trapped munitions inside the school and then allowed refugees in? FOR WHAT PURPOSE?

The U.N. has some answering to do for this debacle. Oh...wait...I see now. This was done to show how terrible the Israeli's are. RIGHT? You bloody fools!

The first big anti-israel news story of the Gaza conflict was the alleged bombing, on Tuesday, of a UN-run school which resulted in the deaths of 40 or so children. What happened, of course, was that Hamas set up a mortar launcher in the school or on its grounds. The IDF returned fire and destroyed the launcher and its crew. Among those killed were Imad and Hassan Abu Askhar, who ran Hamas mortar crews. Hamas will position a rocket or (in this case) mortar launcher within a few feet of a school, not because school grounds are somehow ideal locations from which to fire ordnance, but in hopes of causing civilian casualties.

One wonders, too, what was going on at the UN-run school. Why were dozens or hundreds of children present? Is the UN unaware that Gaza is a war zone? Schools have been closed in Israeli towns that are subject to Palestinian rocket attacks. Why on earth would the UN, or whoever, be assembling students in a location where they can easily be turned into “martyrs” by Hamas? Were classes really being conducted in this alleged school, in the middle of a bombardment? There is a story here, waiting to be told.

Once again we have witnessed an Islamic terrorist attack incited and justified through appeals to Islam by its perpetrators. On one level it is understandable why so many in the West are unwilling or unable to connect the militant ideology of political Islam to the thousands of Islamic terror attacks that have been committed worldwide since 9/11. We extol the virtues of tolerance and pluralism and believe others in the world do so as well, so it is easy to dismiss such attacks as the work of a few “extremists,” rather than the product of adherence to an ideology.

The fatal flaw in this thinking is this: How can we successfully win a war on Islamic terrorism if we don’t correctly define the threat doctrine that motivates its adherents?

It is argued that most of the world’s Muslims are not terrorists. While true, this fact is irrelevant. Most of the world’s Muslims have never read the Qur’an or the Hadith in a language they can understand. They have not read the hundreds of passages that call for jihad against infidels, nor do they renounce such passages. They do not organize en masse to denounce the terrorist acts perpetrated by other Muslims in the name of Islam, nor do they denounce the frequent exhortations to world subjugation found in the holy books of Islam.

Yes, there are Muslims who have denounced the Mumbai attacks. But examine their denunciations closely and you will be hard-pressed to find renunciations of the supremacist doctrine of political Islam -- the foundation for jihad -- which emanates from its holy books. This is the justification commonly cited by terrorists for their actions. We in the West must come to grips with the uncomfortable fact that terrorism is a symptom of this militant, supremacist ideology. Terrorism is a means to an end, not an end in itself. And it is but one of many means used by those who are devoted to the supremacist ideology of political Islam.

Religious head incited killers

THE al-Qa'ida-linked Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorists suspected over the Mumbai massacre were trained in Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, and were incited by speeches from their leader in Lahore.

As the sole surviving terrorist was interrogated in Mumbai, security sources told The Australian that 10 terrorists were picked by LET for the suicide mission.

They were ordered to "kill until your last breath" and murder up to 5000 people.

They did so after provocative speeches by Hafiz Mohammed Saeed last month in Lahore, capital of the Punjab.

Saeed, described as LET's supreme religious and political head, declared in one speech: "The only language India understands is that of force, and that is the language it must be talked to in."
The email claiming responsibility for the Mumbai attack minutes after it started last Wednesday was generated on a computer based in Pakistan.

And a satellite telephone captured from the terrorists revealed calls made to numbers in Pakistan during the attacks, reports said.

Officials said the terrorists' route to Mumbai had been recorded on GPS co-ordinates contained in the satellite phones.

Sources said the 10 terrorists -- most of whom were believed to be Pakistanis -- were ordered to undergo training to attack Mumbai.

The captured gunman, Ajmal Amir Kamal, 21, reportedly told intelligence sources the group had trained openly in Muzaffarabad before heading to the nearby Mangala dam for lessons in marine commando techniques.

The group then visited Rawalpindi, which adjoins Islamabad, the Pakistan capital and site of the Pakistan army headquarters.

From there, the group took a train to the port city of Karachi, where, heavily armed, they boarded a freighter for the trip to Mumbai. Along the way, they became nervous about Indian coastguard activity and almost aborted the mission.

They "dragooned" a less conspicuous, passing fishing boat into service, shooting dead four of its crew members. The skipper of the fishing boat and another crew member took them closer to Mumbai before they, too, were killed. One was decapitated and the other had his throat slit.
Close to shore, they transferred to small speedboats for the run into the two landing points they had selected in Mumbai - Sassoon Docks and Badhwar Park, on Cuff Parade.

Conflicting evidence obtained by intelligence agencies suggests that the group may have had local support, and that one or more of its members may have been staying locally, possibly even in the Taj Mahal hotel.

A British link to the attacks was raised over the weekend when a senior Indian official claimed that Britons were among the militants.

Vilasrao Deshmukh, the chief minister of Maharashtra state, in which Mumbai lies, was quoted on an Indian television station as saying that British citizens had been detained.

British MP Patrick Mercer, a former Tory security spokesman, said he had been given information that at least two of the terrorists had credit cards and other identifying documents that linked them to Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in northeast England.

The claims, however, were not substantiated by official British sources, who said there was no evidence "at this stage" that Britons had taken part in the attacks, although they acknowledged that events were "moving fast" and more information was emerging about the nationality of the terrorists.

MI5 and British counter-terrorist police are keeping in close touch with their counterparts in India and are alert to the possibility that Britons with Pakistani origins might have been involved. Significant numbers of young British Pakistanis have taken part in terrorist training in Pakistan.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said that there was no evidence of Britons being involved, and the Foreign Secretary David Miliband said: "We obviously will want to work very closely with the Indians but it is too early to say whether or not any of them are British."

Malaysian police are investigating reports that Malaysian-issued credit cards were found in the belongings of the terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks.

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar said Malaysia had no links with the terrorists, responding to an Indian report that nine of the gunmen claimed to be Malaysian students when they travelled to Mumbai several months ago.

Terror analyst Praveen Swami said that at a meeting of key LET leaders in Lahore on October 19, LET leader Saeed, who insists he is only head of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa welfare organisation, made plain his view of Pakistan's neighbour.

"India, he claimed, was building dams in (Indian-controlled) Jammu and Kashmir to choke Pakistan's water supplies and cripple its agriculture," Mr Swami reported Saeed as saying.
"Earlier, in an October 6 speech, Saeed claimed that India had 'made a deal with the United States to send 150,000 Indian troops to Afghanistan' and that it agreed to support the US in its existential war against Islam.

"Finally, in a sermon to a congregation at the Jamia Masjid al-Qudsia (mosque) in Lahore at the end of October, Saeed proclaimed that there was an 'ongoing war in the world between Islam and its enemies'.

"He claimed that 'crusaders of the East and West have united in a cohesive onslaught against Muslims'."

Islamists Rule American Publishing Industry

America is the land of liberty. It is the place where political expression is protected by law and custom. It is the freest nation on Earth… unless, of course, you wish to talk about Islam. Then, unless you bow and scrape, unless you assert its supposed peacefulness, unless you bend over backwards to make sure that you don’t “offend” Islamists, you will be shut down. At least this is true if you wish to publish a book about Islam, it appears.

 

Not long ago, a book titled “Alms for Jihad” was ridiculously voluntarily destroyed, “pulped” being the term, by its own publisher. This unusual action was taken because one activist Muslim took the bookseller to libel court and won, saying that he was somehow maligned by allegations in the book. The ridiculous part is that the book was published by Cambridge University Press but was sued by Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz in a British court. Neither the court nor the complainant was American. Yet, this foolish American publisher voluntarily destroyed its entire run and went to the effort to send a letter to libraries to tell them to remove the book from shelves over the verdict of this foreign court.

 

Alarmingly, Sheikh Khalid Bin Mahfouz has been successful in at least four such libel cases against book publishers throughout the world in these compliant, malleable British courts.

 

A professor, Deborah Lipstadt at Emory University, who won a libel suit in Britain brought against her and Penguin, likewise told The New York Sun that this action by Cambridge University Press was a “frightening development.” She said that it seemed to her that the Saudis were “systematically, case by case, book by book” challenging anything critical of them or anything that linked them to terrorism. She said that she could not think of any publisher that would now accept a manuscript critical of the Saudis. “This affects not only authors but readers,” she said, adding that “ideas are being chased out of the marketplace.”

 

Fortunately, some authors are trying to fight back to some extent.

 

The director of the New York-based American Center for Democracy, Rachel Ehrenfeld, said that Cambridge University Press “capitulated” and “didn’t even try to fight.” Sheikh Mahfouz sued her for her 2003 book “Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed - and How to Stop It.” Rather than contesting the case in Britain, Ms. Ehrenfeld has taken to the American courts. In June, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously in her favor, finding that if an American writer is sued for libel in a foreign court, that person can appeal to an American court to request that a British decision not be enforceable here.

 

But this is not the end of the matter. Sadly, another American publisher has capitulated in the face of the hatred and threats of radical Islamists. According to the Wall Street Journal, Random House has “abruptly called off publication” of a new book about the sex life of Aisha, the child bride of the Prophet Muhammad.

 

In fact, for the sum of a $100,000 dollar advance, Random House had already bought the book and had begun to plan the book tour for author Sherry Jones. But, the publisher abruptly changed its decision as word that the review copies sent in advance had brought warnings of unrest. Sadly, it seems an American professor is the one responsible for starting the Islamofascist ball rolling on this one. In an effort to silence the publication of this book, Denise Spellberg, associate professor of Islamic history at the University of Texas, began to send warnings about the book to radical Islamists throughout the world.

 

After this Professor, a fellow traveler of radical Islam, got done rounding up the many hatemongers in Muslim communities she was in touch with, and her agitators in turn got in touch with the publisher, Random House got cold feet. In fact, they became scared to death.

 

On a May 21st conference call, Random House executive Elizabeth McGuire told the author and her agent that the publishing house had decided to postpone indefinitely the publication of the novel for “fear of a possible terrorist threat from extremist Muslims” and concern for “the safety and security of the Random House building and employees.”

 

So much for America being the land of political and religious freedom, the land where anything can be achieved. It has become a land afraid of its own shadow, ruled by the stern warnings of lawyers and the fear of mob action. It has become a land where radical haters who claim to be “religious” can force law abiding citizens to live by the rulings of foreign courts and ideas antithetical to liberty.

 

There was once a time when saying, “The west is not at war with Islam” was all the rage. But as each year passes, that sentiment is proving to be woefully naive. If everything we are isn’t under siege from without, there never has been a time when we were.

Calling All Bloggers: "Capitulation to Islam is Inevitable

I'm hoping other bloggers -- no, I pray other bloggers will pick-up this story and drum the hell out of it; bloggers better suited than I to prepare the rest of us for the battle on the horizon. Let our cry be: "We Will Not Let Freedom Die Without Us At Her Side."

This story is about one blogger in particular, Paul Ray, and what's happening to him and to our brothers and sisters across the pond. The politically-correct, multiculturalism, British thought-police arrested Ray for blogging about radical Muslims who were promoting jihadism. They arrested Ray for allegedly inciting racial hatred - not the radical imams. His specific crime? Well, he called the radicals who advocated the beheading of infidels - meaning us -- 'savages.' For the life of me, I wouldn't know what else to call them either.

Capitulation to Islam is becoming a reality, and it's also closer to home than you think. From what I now understand, there are other similar instances that occurred here in the United States, which I hope bloggers across the Internet will investigate.

First, take a look at what's going on in England. See anything familiar?

The [British] government has made so-called "hate speech," illegal, but it also depends on who is doing the hating. When one group of British citizens protested the Mohammed cartoons at the Danish embassy in London in 2006, they expressed their allegiance to Osama bin Laden, and called for beheadings and nuclear attacks against Denmark Britain and America. Yet British police arrested no one, until there was a public uproar.

Compare that to when Britain's Channel 4 Dispatches program exposed violent rhetoric in local mosques. British police initially decided to charge - not the radical imams who were promoting violence and bigotry - but the news program that did the report, for allegedly stirring up racial hatred.

For now, it suffices to scream a new battle cry in unison, "We will not let Freedom die without us at her side." Those are fighting words, my friends, and perhaps I could even be arrested for writing and promoting them. But, I was born in New Hampshire and my "Live Free or Die" spirit came with me.

The Silent Jihad Against The West

Anyone that cares to learn about what is going on in the world is familiar with active jihad, the "holy war", conducted with terrorism and directed at the modern world in general and western civilization more specifically. But there is also another form of jihad that is part of the deliberate effort to have Islam replace all concepts of morality and the values held dear by the rest of us. The name of this silent "fifth column" effort is "Sharia Banking". Unfortunately, Sharia Banking is increasingly accepted by western banking institutions without any real understanding of what the Muslim goal is and what is at stake in the efforts by these institutions to attract more business, profits and money to bail them out of financial messes they brought upon themselves.

Islamic Sharia banking is coming to the United States and other western nations, thanks to global banks such as Citigroup, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Great Britain is now pledging to become the Islamic banking center of the world. Clearly the headlong rush by all global banks to enter the world of Islamic banking is well underway. Why do western banks seek to participate in Sharia banking; because it gives them a chance to enter the Islamic banking industry which has over $1.5 trillion available today and is growing at a steady and explosive rate of over 15% per year.

The implications for the west, and especially for the United States, are staggeringly destructive. Islamic banking working through global banks is doing for Islam what it could never do on its own: giving legitimacy to Sharia law and infiltrating it into the fabric of western society.

For those not familiar with Sharia Banking; it is a system which creates and sells services and products that are in strict accordance with Sharia law. Sometimes it is referred to in the Islamic culture as "Sharia finance". It dictates how the practices of banking, investment, bonds, loans, brokerage, etc, are to be conducted.

To insure compliance and to become "Sharia banking" compliant, banks must hire Sharia experts to review and approve each product and practice of the bank. This is known as "halal", which has been described as "the Muslim equivalent of kosher in Judaism." There is a shortage of such Sharia experts so there is competition among banks to find such experts to sit on their boards of directors. By having an "expert" involved in banking decisions, this provides the legitimacy to each banking decision because it is made at the director rather management level. However, most of these Sharia experts" are from the radical Wahhabi school of Islam in Saudi Arabia and elsewhere, and they hold views diametrically opposed to the basic values of Western civilization.

The Center for Security has identified some of the Sharia experts sitting on the boards of U.S. financial institutions. The top twenty "advisors" include many with conflicts of interests and anti-trust issues since they sit on boards of many Islamic banks at the same time. The Center for Security identifies a couple of advisors with ties to money-laundering and terrorism:

Yousuf Quaradawi who is prominent in the Muslim Brotherhood, owns two banks himself and has issued statements in support of Palestinian attacks on Israeli citizens and has issued rulings supporting Hamas and Hezbollah jihad attacks against Israel.

Muhammad Yaqui Usami who is a radical cleric and Sharia court judge in Pakistan. He is on the board of organizations that train thousands of Taliban and jihad foot soldiers. But the most heinous thing is his complicity in the murder and suffering of countless innocent Muslims as apostates because they disagreed with his Islamic mandates.

War OF Jihad Part 2

The Islamic Jihad or Holy War shows no signs of being in regression any time soon. The United States in Feb. 2008 offered official recognition to the newly formed (unilaterally) state of Kosovo, which is roughly 90% Muslim. With that support and the support of the European Union, one has to wonder just precisely what type of death wish the current administration of the United States has.

It’s not enough that we’re already fighting against rogue groups of Islamists unaffiliated specifically with a nation State? We need another challenge at this point to bolster some ideal of national pride? Somehow the understanding of Islam as a quasi religion of hatred and violence has not filtered through the halls of the White House or the halls of CONgress. (to be distinguished from PROgress)

The Democratic Party of the United States appears poised to nominate for President either a member of the House of Representatives from the state of Illinois Barack Hussein Obama, who has no particular experience on the world stage with the exception of a few Congressional junket trips to Arab Africa. Whose major contribution to the state of Illinois while in power seems to have been cultivating a relationship with developer under indictment “Tony” Rezko?

Or to nominate for President A Senator from New York Hillary Clinton a true carpet bagger from Arkansas, with all of the liabilities of a dyed in the wool socialist who would make Karl Marx proud to call her friend.

The really disturbing portion of the current political news is the lack of a viable Conservative candidate from the other major party, The Republicans seem to have allowed in some wishy washy fashion for the Media Darling John McCain to become the presumptive nominee for them. The Big Media Complex having offered much coverage and laudatory comments for John McCain in the primary season, and now with that all but over jumping on him like stink on a wet dog over allegations which should in theory have been laid to rest ten years ago!

Of the two groups McCain seems to have the most fervor in waging the War on Jihad, but he is also 71 years old already. The War on Jihad will not be a fight for this generation alone by any means. The War on Jihad must be waged until its conclusion whatever the cost and for however long it takes. The alternative is for all our children or their children’s children to live under a Theocratic Tyranny of the vilest type. A tyranny which allows no expression of freedom, no expression of hope for a planet at peace, and no ability to worship as free men and women the God of our choice.

The two main forces in the War OF Jihad are at this time Iran and Syria . Iran is Shia Muslim, adhering to the teaching of either the fourth Imam or the eighth Imam or the seventh. Wheels within wheels as the story goes.

At some point in the near or distant future both of these countries will need to be met head on. The governments of both Syria and Iran fund terrorist groups (Hezbollah and Hamas respectively) whose primary purpose is to eliminate the “Zionist enclave” of Israel and then to deal with the “Great Satan” the United States for its friendship to the nation of Israel.

One issue which needs to be dealt with are Mosques, Islam is not a philosophical religion nor is based on speculation, it is a religion based on the revealed teachings of the Chief Perpetrator Mohammad, to be continued it must be taught to each new generation. To break that cycle requires the elimination of Indoctrination Centers – mosques. If not elsewhere then at least in this country they must be removed. Not as houses of worship which preach religion unacceptable to the nation as a whole. But as what they really are, which are Indoctrination Centers for the Elimination of Infidels.

When the next attack occurs on American soil, and it will happen, the person who is in the seat of power in Washington D.C. – if Washington D.C. is still there afterward, must decide what action is needed to protect the rest of the country. Those actions will determine the fate of the United States of America and also the world at large. I was really hoping for a better candidate at this time than John McCain. A cross between Ronald Reagan, John Wayne, and Abraham Lincoln would have done nicely. None of those qualities appear to be on the horizon anytime soon though.

Communist and Socialist author and essayist E.P. Thompson in an essay regarding the Cold War stated ”If we ask the partisans of either side what the Cold War is now about, they regard us with the glazed eyes of addicts”

I get the same sort of reaction when I ask the Islamic Apologists, the Peace At Any Price crowd, or the Code Pink wingnuts. None of them can make a rational statement about the actual cause of the War on Jihad. It has become nothing more than something to be against at any cost. Even at the cost of failure to protect this nation from another attack like Sept. 11. And that I have come to expect, the Anti-War crowd has never found a need to understand the reasons for war. It seems enough to just be against war as a method for solving conflict, as would any sane person. BUT the Anti-War crowd carries the concept to an entirely unacceptable level, by requiring that I and my neighbors and family and you accept the consequence of that non action against an enemy whose sole purpose is to place me at room temperature.

The refusal to look objectively at the reasons for either the current War on Jihad, or any other conflict seems a recipe for further wars. Until the last of the totalitarian regimes of Planet Earth have been laid to rest entirely, there will be cause for conflict. With conflict comes a need to convert or be converted, to subjugate or be subjugated, or in the final act, to kill or be killed.

Giving way to those who have the aim of converting, subjugating or killing the rest of the planet seems a poor choice, even if it is done only by default.

One of the real problems I see in the current War on Jihad though is the inability of the political leadership to convincingly and truthfully state the reason for the War. In this, I’m not looking for the method of conducting the War successfully, nor am I looking for the financial cost or even the cost in lives lost. What no one seems willing or able to do is to stand up in front of a crowd of human beings and say clearly –

“This war is against the religion which spawned the attack on the Marine barracks in Lebanon , the USS Cole, the Khobar Towers , the World Trade Center and all of the destruction throughout the world perpetrated in the name of a dead pedophile. While freedom of religion should be guaranteed to every person on the planet, and is protected in the U.S.A. if you choose a religion which condemns all other non-believers to death, you are now a target for elimination. If you choose a different path toward enlightenment it would be far healthier for you.’

The concept of “Moderate Muslims” is a farce and ploy. Those who are actually ‘moderate’ aren’t really Muslim anymore than I am. They have an ethnic background, but have not been indoctrinated with the hatred and violence of Mohammad. Much like a person can be raised as a Catholic, but never go to Mass after reaching the age of majority. IF all of those who claim to be Christian (78% as of the last study I could find) in the U.S. really were CHRISTians, the need for a Welfare State would never have arisen, and millions of unborn children would have grown up with their parents instead of being slain before or during birth.

The War ON Jihad came about because there is a War OF Jihad. At the conclusion, one side will be converted, subjugated or dead. My hope is for the other side to be converted. If not……….” nuke ‘em ‘til they glow.”

War OF Jihad

Premise: a Global War OF Jihad exists today.

Query: Can we as a free nation (The United States) allow it to continue?

Nearly anyone with the ability to reason effectively can admit the existence of a war which is being waged from Radical Islam against everything else which they the Radical Muslims declare to be hasam or against Islam. The question then is can we as a nation or we as a planet allow this war to continue to the foreseeable conclusion of a Theocratic Totalitarianism engulfing the entire world in its grip. A grip which will be undeniably more difficult to break free of after it is in complete control of the weapons of mass destruction which so many nations now have available.

I submit to the reader that the idea of living under an Islamic Theocracy is not an acceptable choice from my perspective nor is it a choice I would force upon my children, grandchildren or their children. For any who read this and find the concept of living under a Islamic Theocracy acceptable, stop reading now. The rest of this will most likely be irritating and pointless. Mark Twain said it best. “Never try to teach a pig to dance. It irritates the pig and is a complete waste of your time.”

Jihad, The realization that there is someone “out there” who does not believe in Mohammad as a prophet, but who does see Mohammad as just another thug in the same vein as the recently room temperatured Saddam Hussein. According to the Quran those who believe Mohammad to be just another thug must be converted, subjugated or slain.

That includes the rest of the planet, whether Christian, Jew Buddhist, Rastafarians or somebody who worships cowbells. Believe in Mohammad, who was in essence just a petty Seventh Century Local Dictator with a good plan and a sharp sword or be dealt with. The essence of Jihad speaks to the bloodthirsty religion of hatred which Islam sprang from and to which it is returning after the years of enlightenment, when moderate forces within Islam were in control. The heyday if you will of Islam, when advances were being made in medicine and more notably in the practice of warfarre.

Today we have the remnants of that spirit crushing mish mash of idol worship (the worship of an individual who has no claim to divinity, except through their own profession of godhood) The roots of the current War on Jihad stem from what I thought an unlikely source, The First World War, and the subsequent sundering of the Ottoman Empire, and later the division of the Middle East into discrete and separate countries by the British (most probably by a civil servant sitting in London with no concept of who the people involved were). In retrospect it seems readily apparent that the splitting of an empire by geographic regions rather than on the basis of cultural or ethnic realities was a very shortsighted remedy to a fundamental problem.

Splitting the Ottoman empire though was a stroke of genius, with huge benefits in this present period of time. The idea of having so much of the worlds Petro Dollars concentrated in one political unit is a nightmare I’m glad we don’t have to go through. The amount of money which would be available to Jihadists would be overwhelming, if not for the fundamental friction between the multiple sects of Islam.

The division of the Middle East appears to have been predicated not on the real world ethnic associations of the populations which were being carved up, but on the needs of the victors to further their empire building with an eye toward oil rich Iran, (in the case of the USSR ¹) and also to allow empire building by both the British and French in the area. (in the case of the western powers)

The divisions were arranged for the ease of governance and to accommodate the existing players on the field at the time, Ibn Saud, Prince Faisal and Abdullah Hussein, And under the Leadership of Winston Churchill and T.E. Lawrence ^2.

The divisions of the Middle East at that time have set the stage for what we now deal with, an Arab world which is divided among themselves into the various sects of Islam (primarily Shia and Sunni) but united against all infidels with equal ferocity when required and within the limits of needing allies against the Great Satan of the United States and the Zionist enclave of Israel.

The war of Islam against all infidels has been going on for the past 1300 years; the War of Jihad against all infidels will go on until the Jihadists or the Infidels (that’s us) win by subjugation or by elimination of the enemy.

Jihadis Post Scenario for the Defeat of the United States

On May 14, jihadi forum users Abu Kandahar and Roslan al-Shami posted a five-point scenario for the collapse of the United States and the rise of the Islamic ummah, entitled, "The Next Strikes in the Heart of America, When and How." It appeared on the al-ommh.net forum, although at least one other jihadi forum, alhanein.com, reposted the scenario. The posting outlines a scenario for attacking the United States, although the sheer size of the operation suggests that it is jihadi propaganda and not an actual plan that could be operationalized. The alleged operation is dedicated to Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, the head of the Islamic State of Iraq.

The first stage in the scenario involves multiple terrorist attacks on three major U.S. cities, preferably with nuclear weapons, using an unspecified number of trucks. The scenario places priority on attacking New York City because it is the central artery of the U.S. economy and it would prove that the mujahideen are capable of recurrent attacks on the same target. The second city to attack is Los Angeles, an important West Coast "atheist" city. The third "city" to be attacked is Florida because, they argue, it is an East Coast congregation city and has the Kennedy Space Center (considering the description, the statement's authors probably meant Orlando). While those are the three primary cities for attack, the writers of the document suggest that if the mujahideen wish to expedite the collapse of the United States, they should also conduct attacks in Seattle since it is a strategic border city; Washington, DC, the political center of the United States; and cities in Texas, since the "biggest oil companies" are located there.

According to the writers, the purpose of attacking these specific cities is to cause a sharp decline in the U.S. economy; mass amounts of casualties; the support for the mujahideen by anti-U.S. countries such as Cuba and Venezuela; a decrease in American support for their own government; the withdrawal of the "blasphemous" U.S. military from Islamic territories; mass military desertions; and the inability to fuel U.S. military fighter jets. The document also outlines how the fallout from such large-scale attacks would cause the U.S. military to return to the United States in order to conduct massive relief operations. They refer to the example of how Hurricane Katrina overburdened the U.S. National Guard, calling the hurricane a "Soldier of God."

After such attacks, they argue that the Islamic State of Iraq will seize the opportunity to launch mass strikes on the apostates in the Iraqi military and police, paving the way for the third stage of the scenario: the commencement of the golden era of the triumphant Islamic conquests that includes the implementation of Sharia, the liberation of the Arabian Peninsula, the removal from power of "the U.S. ruling family" in Jordan and, finally, the big march toward Palestine. In the end, even Washington, DC, will fall to the mujahideen and that will conclude the final stage of Islamic control of the globe.

The scenario appears less of a planned operation than a hope for the fulfillment of a prophecy. The supposed factuality of the scenario is based on various verses in the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad's teachings. Nevertheless, some of the users on the forums who discussed the scenario asserted that all of the details to execute the operation had already been prepared. One such user, by the alias of Abu Nedal, said, "For your knowledge, the operations are ready and awaiting the orders from our leader Osama bin Laden, God protect him, to decide what he deems appropriate either to strike now or to wait."

Islamist extremists have always fabricated factitious scenarios for victory over the West based on their own interpretations of Quranic prophecies in times of crisis and defeat. Nevertheless, al-Qaeda has shown prior interest in acquiring nuclear materials for use in an attack, and it is necessary to take such forum postings seriously as they display the mindset and the intent, although perhaps not the capability, of al-Qaeda-affiliated militants.
