Reaching Out To The Enemy and Throwing Our Country Under The Bus

Someone needs to let the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave know whose side the Commander-in-Chief belongs on. While reaching out to the dictators and scum leaders of the world, this administration is throwing our country and proud Americans under the bus.

In an article from the AP found at Yahoo News, we read the following:

Obama said he was ready to accept Cuban President Raul Castro's proposal of talks on issues once off-limits for Cuba,....

Later, during a group photo, Obama reached behind several leaders at the summit to shake Chavez' hand for the third time. Obama summoned a translator and the two smiled and spoke briefly......

Obama also extended a hand to Nicaragua's Daniel Ortega, whom President Ronald Reagan spent years trying to drive from power. Ortega was ousted in 1990 elections that ended Nicaragua's civil war, but was returned to power by voters in 2006.....

We also know that BHO has reached out to Iranian mad man President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:

Iran said on Wednesday it would welcome President Barack Obama's offer of a change in U.S. policy provided it involved a withdrawal of U.S. troops from abroad and an apology for past "crimes" against Tehran.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was speaking after Obama offered to extend a hand of peace if Iran "unclenched its fist."

If those items aren't enough to swallow, we can't forget that the current administration is labeling patriotic red-blooded Americans as Domestic Terrorists.

We now hear from former heads of the CIA that throwing the previous administration under the bus has put our nation at further risk from "REAL TERRORISTS".

In releasing the documents, the most comprehensive accounting yet of interrogation methods that were among the Bush administrations most closely guarded secrets, Obama said he wanted to move beyond "a dark and painful chapter in our history."

Past and present CIA officials had unsuccessfully pressed for more parts of the four legal memos to be kept secret, and some critics argued the release would make the United States less safe.

Michael Hayden, who led the CIA under George W. Bush, said CIA officers will now be more timid and allies will be more reluctant to share sensitive intelligence.

It is more than obvious that BHO is making friends with the worlds undesirables who hate America while alienating those of us who love the greatest nation in the world.

Bostons Going to a Tea Party

If you see Pastor Ed and Annieb in Indianapolis at the Tea Party, give us a shout out. We are looking forward to this event and seeing Thomas Paine (Dr. Basso).

We will be taking pictures for the blog, and trying to get info for our BTR online show, but most of all we plan to enjoy being with hundreds or thousands of other Patriots who believe that the government is out of control.

We the people are taking to the streets and let me encourage all of you to do it in a manner that would be pleasing to God!

Heavenly Father,

Forgive us as a nation for turning away from you. Please bless us as You have so many times in our history. Help us to return to the ways of our Founding Fathers and to rely on You to guide us.

We pray this in the Holy and precious name of Jesus!

Special Request from Pastor Ed

I have a request for all those who post and comment here at Do The Right Thing, but first a little information on why this post is being done.

Do The Right Thing the blog and the BTR radio program is first and foremost a Christian site and winning souls for Christ is our number one priority.

We also discuss politics from a Christian perspective. Sometimes those views don't go over so well with everyone - that's life and I'm prepared for the ramifications that come with that.

I've been getting quite a bit of negative response in the last week or so, and again I am prepared to handle that as well -- but I thought I should do some self-examination and praying about the matter.

It's no secret to those who know my politics that I am no fan of our new president. I am not one of those people who think we should just sit back and give our new president a free pass while he goes about enacting policies that I feel are wrong (want two examples already - ok, how about reinstating funding for abortion abroad and closing "Club Gitmo").

That said, here is my request: Knowing that some people are looking for reasons to put Christians down and others are more than ready to trash those who follow Christian Conservative principles - I, Pastor Ed Boston, respectfully request that name calling not take place here and on our radio program.

Opposing positions are more than welcome, and I understand that many of you may not feel that President Obama is not "your" President. However, there are plenty of other places where you can go and say anything you please.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular and if it was, I would contact you personally -- unlike some who chose to just write smart alec remarks on public spaces and think it's ok.

My ministry is my first and foremost commitment, and I can't allow things with my online work to jeopardize that in any way. I hope you all understand!

Pray For The Hostages Resumes Monday on BTR

After a week away, the daily Pray For The Hostages radio program on BTR will resume on Monday the 8th at noon eastern time.

Pastor Ed will co-host the show with Vicki on Monday and Wednesday.
Wyatt will co-host with Vicki on Tuesday and Thursday.
Annieb will be Friday's co-host with Vicki.
