Do The Right Thing Radio - Act 1 Recap
The opening show of "Do The Right Thing Radio" is now behind us, and I believe it was a learning experience for all of us involved. Thank you Heavenly Father for allowing the show to happen, and for helping us to learn from this experience!

Let me say a great big THANK YOU to the "Cyber Crew" of Dean, Garry, Bert, Roger, and Susan! Each of them was a very big part of the praying, planning, and pulling off of this first show, and there is no way I would have even attempted to take on this new project without them!
I also want to say, I had no idea how nervous that I would be. I preach 2 to 3 sermons every week, and rarely if ever am I nervous. I've been a caller and a guest on other BTR shows, and wasn't nervous. Last night however, I was "on edge" as much as I've been in a long time.
I think the difference for me was I was "out of my element". I'm used to seeing and hearing those in the audience when I preach. Last night, other than a few times with the callers and an occaisional comment in the chat room - there was dead silence "looking" at me. I know the Lord will help me overcome this problem.
A short recap of the show will follow, and then some comments, I've received after that.
The song "The Great Adventure" opened the show. From listening to the beginning of the archieve, I realize there was a technical glitch on the song, but it was my fault and I know what happened, so I won't make that mistake again. This will stay the shows opening song for now.
I gave an introduction of myself and and the show followed by introduction of the Cyber Crew who were on the phone with us. Dean, Roger, Bert and Garry all told us a little about their backgrounds and their love for Christ.
Following the intro's, we had a time of group prayer with each of us praying for topics such as: those who were listening to the program, the following of God's will for the program, President Bush and all national, state and local leaders, our troops, and our first responders.
The song, "What If His People Prayed" was next and then our dear friend, mentor, consultant, and all around great guy, Mark (Snooper) called in. During his conversion, he mentioned his son who in the 101st Airborne Division serving in Iraq. We said a special prayer for MJ, and his fellow soldiers.
More round table type discussion followed, and a "special" prayer for a miracle for healing for one of the listeners was given.
Each of us took a short time of wrap-up, and the show finished with the song "Keep The Candle Burning".
Here are a few quotes about the show:
"Show report -- great launch .......Good format -- first time for me. I had some mixed feelings tonight. We had the funeral today and he is the second very close friend I lost in four weeks.
.....You guys took my mind off that and made me think how lucky I was to know them and for them to let me hang with them"
Another comment: "The show was great! I haven't felt the Holy Spirit touch me like it did tonight in very long time.............Last night I slept like a baby for 8 1/2 hours. Something I haven't been able to do for years. The Holy Spirit truly does remarkable things.....I need more of that!"
Pray that Do The Right Thing Radio will be a tool of God's to work in the lives of those who listen, like the two comments above.

Tour Gathers Momentum - Progress in Iraq

Veterans across the country are helping fill the Tour schedule and get the word out. It promises to be an exciting-and influential-three weeks.

PROGRESS IN IRAQ
Meanwhile, in Iraq, positive developments continue. In fact, this past week, the Iraqi Parliament passed three landmark pieces of legislation-establishing long-overdue local elections, granting amnesty to low-level Iraqi prisoners, and passing a budget of $50 billion.
The political reconciliation that the Surge was meant to facilitate is happening. The Iraqi people are taking advantage of the dramatic security gains to make political compromises.
Even the New York Times had this to say on their front page, "More than any previous legislation, the new initiatives have the potential to spur reconciliation between Sunnis and Shiites and set the country on the road to a more representative government, starting with new provincial elections." Need I say more?
All the objectives of the surge-by any measure-have been achieved: violence has dropped dramatically, the Iraqi civil war is over, Al Qaeda has been decimated, and Iraqi politicians are working for political reconciliation.
It's imperative that we do everything we can to ensure that these gains are solidified, and that we continue to support the judgments of the commanders on the ground. General Petraeus will be in Washington, DC in April, and Vets for Freedom will be there to support him.
Now is the time to keep up the pressure-we are winning in Iraq, and the American people need to know it. Join us in supporting the brave troops in the field who are taking the fight to America's enemies.

God and Allah, Are They The Same?
This will be the first in a two part discussion. You must understand Islam and what it really is before you can honestly get at the answers to your questions.
Millions have been led astray because they did not take the time to find out.
In this country and around the world we have many to ‘thank’ for the ingenious deceptions and clever lies handed to us as truth, including some of our most trusted.
Do not be deceived! Discover the answers and arm yourself with the truth!
Recently a question was asked of me, “do you feel that we worship the same God as the Muslims?”
In a word, I can answer emphatically NO. This usually generates heated discussions among both Muslims and Christians.

When I hear or read about Christians stating that we should accept Islam as a religion and believe that Allah is the same God Christians worship I am appalled. It is perhaps one of the most misleading and deceptive aspects of Islam and is not without motive. The followers of Islam would like very much for you to accept their claim and hope that you won’t take the time to find out the truth.
“Allah originally was the god of Sin( a pagan god) but changed to deity status by Mohammad. Many of my Jewish friends will state that Allah is the manifestation of evil and is inspired by Satan to deceive and lead people astray.”
It would not be possible for me to even try an attempt to convince you that my answer has merit in a few short sentences. The answer did not come to me easily as I struggled with my own misperceptions about this. Many hours of study and research was required to gain an intellectually honest picture of what Islam is about.
I began to ask questions from people who already knew the answers but I still needed convincing to allay my fear of condemning another religion that apparently prayed to the same God I did.

It was easier for him to use a known Pagan god than introduce a completely new one. So he said this big idol is the creator and the same god spoken by Jesus and Moses. Prior to my writing this I posed this same question to a friend who has a much more detailed and in depth knowledge of this subject. He has attempted the same thing I am many times, here is his response;

Qur'an 5:73 "They are surely disbelievers who blaspheme and say: 'God
is one of three in the Trinity for there is no Ilah (God) except One, Allah. If
they desist not from saying this (blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall
them - the disbelievers will suffer a painful doom."
Qur'an 5:75 "The Messiah, Christ, the son of Mary, was no more than a messenger;
many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of
truth. They had to eat their food. See how Allah does make His signs clear to them;
yet see in what ways they are deluded!"
Qur'an 5:116 "And behold! Allah will say: 'O Jesus, the son of Mary!
Did you say unto men, worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' He
will say: 'Glory to You! Never could I utter what I had no right."
Before I begin this list I must ask you some questions.

Will you read with an open mind and in an honest attempt to find the truth?

Islam can't be reformed, but it can be eradicated.
It can't be molded, but it can be smashed. It is rigid, but brittle. That is why Muslims can't tolerate criticism of it. To eradicate Islam, all we have to do is tell the truth. It's that simple. This was not possible before, but with the help of the Internet, it is now. The insanity of this creed is so glaringly obvious, it boggles the mind. All it takes to see that is to read the Qur’an.
The truth about Islam is out. It's here on this site. With truth and reason alone we can demolish this tall tower of lies. If you help spread the truth we can bring this house of cards down sooner than anyone can imagine. With truth, the decent Muslims will leave Islam and with each Muslim who leaves, we gain a new soldier in our fight against terrorism. We are growing exponentially.
The days of Islam are numbered and better days are ahead. Many of us will see that day. Meanwhile, we may have to go through dreadful times. A storm is approaching. It will wipe out Islam, but it will also destroy millions of lives in its path. We can avoid this Armageddon if we stop lying. Islam is not a religion of peace. It is evil. It is a dangerous cult of death and terror. The proof is here. Let us tell the truth. Save lives, not lies.
All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Do something and save the world. To become a soldier in this army of light, all you have to do is face the truth.This site exists to help. Help spread the truth. Let it reach the world. It will do its work.

In Memory of my Friend, Pastor Jerry Travis
For the second time in less than two weeks, I am posting a memorial to a friend and fellow pastor, this time for Rev. Jerry Travis. This will be long and include things I've received from others. Jerry deserves every inch of space I take here on this blog, and much, much, more!
I will share all comments whether they come in email or in the comment section here on the blog with Jerry's family, so please if you comment and the family doesn't know who your are, list what state you live in.
Jerry and I met a few years ago at a get together of pastors in our district. Jerry had moved into our district from another Wesleyan District and he told me that he was used to getting together with other preachers and he hadn't made new friends with the Wesleyan pastors in our area, and he missed that fellowship and wanted to know if I was interested in getting together for lunch sometime soon.
Let's stop the story there and let me say two things. It was Jerry who longed for fellowship and it was Jerry who reached out to get that fellowship. I'm going to tell a story later in this post and he did the same type of thing while in the hospital this past week. I'm just fortunate that if was me he reached out to - thank you Lord for that blessing!
I have a close prayer partner Pastor David Gates, who I regularly meet with for food, fellowship, and prayer. It was soon time for us to get together and I called Dave and said let's include Jerry Travis. Of course, both David and Jerry were up to it, and so we all met in Shelbyville for the first of many times together.
There are so things I could write about, but I remember the times we met together around the alter at Shelbyville Grace Wesleyan Church where Jerry pastored the last few years. We prayed for each other, we prayed for our families, we prayed for our congregations, we prayed for our fellow pastors, and we prayed for new souls to be won for Christ. We literally all "cried out" to the Lord.
David, Jerry and I have all been through "crisis" times in the last couple of years, and each of us knew we could pick up the phone, send an email, ask for a visit and the other two would be there - no question about it.
That's my two prayer partners, David and Jerry (Jerry is the young guy with a smile) in the picture to the right. I say that about age, because there is one story that so many people know about that has to do with age and a lunch we had at Bob Evans in Shelbyville.
Jerry and I both ordered chicken pot pie, and the waitress then began to ask David what he was having, and he said I'll have chicken pot pie also. Being the clown that I sometimes can be, I said to the waitress, notice that he is ordering off the Senior Menu, and he definitely qualifies for the discount. Next, you would have thought that Jerry and I had arranged this with the waitress (I promise we didn't) but she piped right in with, oh we'll make sure to blend his food for him!
Oh my, Jerry and I nearly rolled on the floor we laughed so hard, and as always David took our joking with a giant smile and a response of something like I would think you guys were mad at me if you wasn't joking with me.
This famous event has made the rounds throughout our district and even our District Superintendent once told a waitress that David needed his food blended.
That's how we spent our time. Praying, eating, joking, and loving each other like brothers!
Another friend of ours, Pastor Chet Todd became part of our prayer group, but living farther away, Chet couldn't join in on the fun very often. I know that we all felt that Chet was a big part of our small group. That's all four of us in the picture to the left. From left to right, it is me, David, Jerry and Chet. What a crew! There's Jerry with that smile again.
More recently, Pastor Doug Preston became very close friends with Jerry, and David & I have been really getting to be good friends with Doug as well. I know this time is really difficult for Doug as I heard him say he didn't have any brothers, and Jerry was the closest thing he had to a brother. I will treasure the last few days of Jerry's life as Doug, David, and I traveling the hour and a half each way to spend time with our brother who was leaving us too soon for our liking had some talks that we will all remember forever.
Here is the story I mentioned above. It happened Monday night after Jerry had found out that he was down to days left here on this earth. Doug had stepped out of the room for a minute, but it was David, Jerry's wife Joyce, myself, and three doctors. It was time to explain what could be done for Jerry while he was still with us.
After explaining things to Jerry and answering the questions that Jerry and Joyce had for the doctor in charge, Jerry did something that all of us who here this story should follow as an example. Now please remember these facts: Jerry had just found out just a few hours earlier that he wouldn't be here long without a miracle from God, he could hardly talk because his breathing was so fast due to complications that had began earlier that day, and he was the one we were all concerned about - those are the facts, but here's what Jerry did.
He asked the doctor in charge is he was a Christian. The doctor said he believed in God, but that he wasn't a Christian. As difficult as it was for Jerry to talk, he said this: God gave me a mission in life a long time ago. I've done my best to do what God had me do, and you need to give your heart to the Lord - it will be the greatest thing that has ever happened in your life.
Now understand, Jerry was dying and he knew it. Here he was longing to win someone else to the Lord, and Jerry did the reaching out. What a way to go out - planting seeds for Christ and trying to win a soul so that they could go where we would soon be going. Yes, there was some serious tears in that room, and with Jerry's family when we shared the story with them later that night.
Let me share a couple of emails I received today, this from our district superintendent to all pastors:

Just a word to let you know that Pastor Jerry Travis that pastored Shelbyville Grace Wesleyan passed away about 6:00 A.M. this morning. Please keep Joyce and the family in your prayers. When we find out about the arrangements for the visitation and funeral we will get you word. Pastor Jerry was a true friend of mine and will be missed greatly.

Dear Friends and Family,
Job1: 20-21
At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised."
God has prepared a place for us in heaven. He opens the gates and lets his children in. Then they get a new body, and renewed body. Then praises are sung and the angels sing.
The Lord has taken my father, Rev. Jerald Allen Travis to be with him in heaven at the age of 55, with no pain and no sorrow. The Lord called him home and even though we grieve for him here on earth, I know in my heart that he is in a much better place.
My father loved to sing, and he sang for the glory of the Lord. He preached for the glory of the Lord! :) What a great job he did at it!!! He did his best to fulfill this mission on the earth. As I continue to walk side by side with Lord, I thank Him, the great healer, physician for the most wonderful, loving father a daughter could ask for. He loved me so, and wanted me to do my best. He always pushed me to be the best that I can be. One of my dreams as a child was to make sure my father married my future husband and walked me down the isle. My childhood dream came true and nearly a year and a half later, and now he has gone to be with the Lord.
I will remember many childhood memories and be thankful for the husband, father, and grandfather that he truly was.

The House has left for a weeklong recess without taking action on a Senate-approved bill to modernize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
President Bush had been calling on Congress to pass a bill that would amend FISA before a temporary law allowing warrantless wiretapping of suspected terrorists expires at midnight Saturday. But House Democrats refused to take action on the permanent surveillance law, and instead went forward in approving contempt citations for White House chief of staff Josh Bolton and former Bush counsel Harriet Miers for their role in the firing of federal prosecutors.
House Republicans boycotted the vote yesterday, staging a walk out. Senator Thad McCotter (R-Michigan) accused Democrats of putting politics ahead of the interest of the American people. "It's cheap political theatrics that injure a good man's reputation; it will do nothing to further the cause of protecting America in a time of war," he states. "[It will] do nothing to further the cause of promoting American prosperity in a time of an economic downturn."
He contends it was purely a political move by the Democratic Party to influence the upcoming presidential elections and to "cast a shadow" over the outgoing Bush administration, in hopes of guaranteeing there is no incoming Republican administration. Such "theatrics" do not represent what is important to the American people, says McCotter.
Senator Kit Bond (R-Missouri) also blasted House Democrats for their inaction on FISA. "Perhaps if al-Qaida were actually on steroids then the House leadership would be more interested in dealing with it," he adds. (emphasis added)
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) has said President Bush and Republicans are "fear mongering." But the White House contends that if the temporary Protect America Act expires before FISA is amended, intelligence officials will not be able to wiretap newly discovered international terrorist groups overseas.

I have had concerns about Senator Obama,s honesty regarding his so called Christian faith.
I called The United Church of Christ in Chicago ILLINOIS, where Senator Obama is a member.
If Senator Obama was indeed a Christian, he would be regarded as an "Apostate" which according to Islamic Law, would mean he would be subject to a death warrant imposed upon anyone who leaves Islam, according to Prophet Mohammed himself. Many of such murders take place around this world to Muslims who have left Islam. Putting Islamic law aside, he would still be condemned by Islam. However, in Senator Obamas instance, Muslims in America are joyously happy to think that Obama would be a Muslim President in the white House. Obama is deceiving America. Muslims would not be endorsing a Muslim who left Islam and became a Christian.
It is important to note that I had four witnesses to this telephone conversation with his church. The dates, time and length of the entire conversation can be verified by phone records. The following is the conversation I had with the church, regarding his membership there.
"My name is Usama, and I am from Egypt." "I am interested in joining the church." "I need to ask some questions please." The operator directed me to the membership office. I proceeded to ask questions that only a Muslim would ask. "What is the difference between Baptist and your church?" She responded, " WE believe exactly what Baptists believe." My second question was, "How big is your church and what kind of church is it?" She responded, "We are a Black African American Church and we have 6000 members. I asked, "Do I have to attend Sunday School classes or other meetings to be a member?" She answered "No." I asked, "Do I have to be baptized to join the church?" She again answered, "No." I asked, "Do I have to pay a membership Fee to join?" Her answer was No. I then asked her what I needed to do to join. She told me that I needed to attend two Sunday School classes in a row and then I would walk the aisle. I replied, "That sounds easy." "One last question please."
"IF I AM MUSLIM AND I BELIEVE IN PROPHET MOHAMMED, PEACE BE UPON HIM AND I ALSO BELIEVE IN JESUS, BE UPON HIM, DO I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY ISLAMIC FAITH TO BE A MEMBER IN YOUR CHURCH?" I went on and stated that his father and step father were Muslim, his grandfathers and grandmothers are Muslim, his uncles and aunts, nephews and nieces and cousins are Muslim and everyone in his family in Kenya are Muslims. She replied to me, "I am sorry, I cannot answer these questions for you." I of course sensed she was uncomfortable. I ended the conversation by saying to her, "YOUR CHURCH HAS DONE GREAT HARM TO THIS COUNTRY BY COVERING A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING AND THAT WOLF IS SENATOR BORAK HUSSEIN OBAMA." end of phone call......

Message from Cyber Pastor
Just a quick note to update you on my dear friend, Pastor Jerry Travis. Two of my pastor friends and I have visited Jerry and his family every day but Wednesday this week. We are watching him slowly get worse, and expect to get "the call" literally at any moment.
If Jerry makes it through another night, we will be back to visit him again in the morning.
Being on the road an hour and a half each way to the hospital where Jerry is, along with the time we spend with him hasn't left much time for blogging, and most of the things I've done are just copying things for other websites, but the election posts involving those about men from Iraq Vets for Congress are very important!
I also want to thank Dean for getting in a post for me on his trip to Berkeley and giving us a first hand report.
Please don't forget that Do The Right Thing Radio starts Monday at 11:00 pm Eastern time. Pray for God's will to be accomplished with this new endeavor.

It is a truly amazing perspective to be able to see your town, state, and nation through eyes without the blinders of apathy and cynicism. I lost my belief in people through war, and found it again through my faith and you, my fellow Idahoans. As Americans, we face great challenges to our security, economy and the founding principles.
We are equal to the task.
While our local Republican leadership continues to meet these challenges with workable solutions, the first congressional district house is not in order. We are engaged in economic and military warfare and the outcome will define our Republic into the next century.
Americans think big. That is a key to our success as a nation. But when those whom we elect choose to focus on what divides America, instead of presenting solutions, our democracy flounders in back biting and indecision.
Idaho and America deserves better.
The careful and thoughtful use of ideas, words, and actions is not the equivalent of a moral compromise. It is leadership.
Over fifty years ago, a generation returned from war. Their eyes were opened by war as were mine. They realized how precious our great nation was and stepped forward for public office. When they returned from WWII, they set about building a better America. That legacy has passed to this generation.
After so many years, I now better understand my grandfather and his generation. I am not the same person who left for Iraq. I learned, changed, and hardened in the best sense. I have a deep respect for those who shouldered the burden of leadership in the past, and now it is my time, our time, to pick up the burden.
My heart is a soldier’s heart, a servant’s heart, to do for those who cannot and for those who have none to speak for them; to protect our liberty and to do what is right. Idahoans deserve a voice that reflects our commonality and the values of this extraordinary state.

Pastor Ed asked me to post the e-mail I sent to him regarding the Move America Forward rally in Berkeley, CA in support of the USMC recruiters there.
By now you have probably heard or read about it but this is is from someone who was there in the middle of it.
Hi all,
Dean's "excellent adventure"(yeah right) in the mouth of the lion that is Berkely is one this vet won't forget. More like a foray into a Monty Python movie without the humor.

There is much to be said about our vets and supporters who gave up their time to engage the insane on their own streets in support of the USMC. You all would be proud of the Patriots.
My only regret is that I could only stay for 4 hours and missed the festivities later in the day. Oh well....can't afford a bail bond anyway.
Arrived in the wee hours shortly after 0500(5 a.m.) to the sound of the insane anti-war crowd doing their standard chanting and yelling. Bullhorns were plentiful on their side as were the signs. The usual suspects were there as well, Code Pink, MoveOn, The World Can't Wait, and perhaps a new group I will dub "Skateboarders for Peace"(they showed up after sunrise), etc., ad nauseum.
I could smell them before I could see them. Do these people ever wash? With soap and water?
Disgusting!
The numbers were about even on both sides, 60 - 70, with more Patriots arriving as the day progressed. Patriots were in the mix as I approached the crowd with many television and radio media outlets on the fringe watching from a safe distance. I was even interviewed by one radio person though I don't recall his name or the station now.
It was an amazing sight to be sure and I had the sense that this was going to be ugly from the first minute.
Lot's of pushing and shoving with one vet taking exception to having a protesters sign shoved in his face. That one wound up in pieces on the ground.

No fisticuffs just alot of pushing. There was a group of Berzerkely idiots roaming around with a sign "Dialogue Corner"....LOL. Yeah they approached me for dialogue to which I responded "Get out of my face. You people stink." They thought I was very rude...hehehe....they hadn't seen anything yet. Rude? Hardly, and by comparison all of us were very civilized if perhaps a little disrespectful of these hippy cretins.
Most of the vets there were forming skirmish lines to block the anti-war creeps from taking our space. They attempted to slowly herd us into the streets...didn't work I'm happy to say. The
noise was unbelievable and deafening. Give the cowards bullhorns and you can't hear yourself think....LOL. Remind me next time to bring my wire cutters and ear plugs.
The police showed up a little after 0600(6 a.m.), all 7 of them, and proceeded to stand and watch the activities. I guess they weren't scheduled to arrive until 0900(9 a.m.) when the permits were officially set to be in force.
They didn't look happy about being there and were not friendly at all. LOL. But then what could one expect in Berzerkely?
By comparison to later in the day, the early confrontations were mild.
Sunrise arrived shedding it's light on the dirty little town. Graffiti and trash was
everywhere....typical. And did I mention the stink? ...goes without saying....
The anti-war cowards eventually moved to their designated protest space across the street and the noise subsided. Oh we could still hear them but barely.
Then a bunch of skateboarders showed up demanding we move out of their "designated play" space. Attempting to reason with these juvenile delinquents was pointless....typical children of the liberal variety....."we want our play area and we want it now". The language from these "children" was deplorable though nothing I haven't heard before, still it was a bit shocking to hear 12 - 14 year olds using it.
Things got a little heated and Berzerkely's finest intervened a number of times. Though I had the sense they were more on the juveniles side they did attempt to reason with them as well.
The police did show their true allegiance however when the Patriots wouldn't move to "let the children play", getting in our faces more often than was necessary.
A few of us took exception to the little bastards running into us with those skateboards. Ouch...let me tell you they hurt....have the bruises to prove it and I do not bruise easily. Harsh words were exchanged but no violence from our side....close...but we exhibited restraint, afterall these are just children aren't they?
We did attempt once again to reason with these adolescent cretins but were given the usual "F" word "pleasantries"...LOL.
Surprising? Nah....this is Berkely...home of left wing crazies.
Several things became readily apparent to me. Number one perhaps was the realization
that the police were not there to enforce our right to assemble as designated in the permit. We stayed within our area, but not the other side. Oh no....the anti-war cowards were free to roam and when we asked the police about this they simply shrugged.
The skateboarders were likely recruited by the Code Pinko's to disrupt our gathering. One of them actually stated this was so but who knows? Medea Benjamin knows.
The so called peace loving, tolerant from the left are in reality anything but that. Be prepared my friends for future confrontations with these insane creeps. The war of words is over and it
will become more physical and violent as time goes by I'm certain.
Some of us fully expected the shoving and pushing but many on our side were surprised
and taken aback by it.
My advice if you decide to go to one of these? Be ready to strike back and strike back with force, to defend yourself if nothing else. If you aren't prepared for physical confrontations then stay home. In fact if you aren't prepared to be arrested for taking a stance for freedom and our right to stand up to these liberal cowards, stay home. When the enemy is engaged there won't be time to protect you and since you will get little help from the police there you must be ready to fight and get bloody, and perhaps spend a night in the slam.
In summary I have to say I was honored to be there and to be a part of
the Move America Forward crowd. Melanie Morgan, Deborah Johns, Debbie Lee, Mary
Pearson were absolutely great. These ladies are unafraid to speak out and stand
up for what is right. I salute them!

Hardly, and by comparison all of us were very civilized if perhaps a little disrespectful of these hippy cretins.
Most of the vets there were forming skirmish lines to block the anti-war creeps from taking our space. They attempted to slowly herd us into the streets...didn't work I'm happy to say. The
noise was unbelievable and deafening. Give the cowards bullhorns and you can't hear yourself think....LOL. Remind me next time to bring my wire cutters and ear plugs.
The police showed up a little after 0600(6 a.m.), all 7 of them, and proceeded to stand and watch the activities. I guess they weren't scheduled to arrive until 0900(9 a.m.) when the permits were officially set to be in force.
They didn't look happy about being there and were not friendly at all. LOL. But then what could one expect in Berzerkely?
By comparison to later in the day, the early confrontations were mild.
Sunrise arrived shedding it's light on the dirty little town. Graffiti and trash was
everywhere....typical. And did I mention the stink? ...goes without saying....
The anti-war cowards eventually moved to their designated protest space across the street and the noise subsided. Oh we could still hear them but barely.
Then a bunch of skateboarders showed up demanding we move out of their "designated play" space. Attempting to reason with these juvenile delinquents was pointless....typical children of the liberal variety....."we want our play area and we want it now". The language from these "children" was deplorable though nothing I haven't heard before, still it was a bit shocking to hear 12 - 14 year olds using it.
Things got a little heated and Berzerkely's finest intervened a number of times. Though I had the sense they were more on the juveniles side they did attempt to reason with them as well.
The police did show their true allegiance however when the Patriots wouldn't move to "let the children play", getting in our faces more often than was necessary.
A few of us took exception to the little bastards running into us with those skateboards. Ouch...let me tell you they hurt....have the bruises to prove it and I do not bruise easily. Harsh words were exchanged but no violence from our side....close...but we exhibited restraint, afterall these are just children aren't they?
We did attempt once again to reason with these adolescent cretins but were given the usual "F" word "pleasantries"...LOL.
Surprising? Nah....this is Berkely...home of left wing crazies.
Several things became readily apparent to me. Number one perhaps was the realization
that the police were not there to enforce our right to assemble as designated in the permit. We stayed within our area, but not the other side. Oh no....the anti-war cowards were free to roam and when we asked the police about this they simply shrugged.
The skateboarders were likely recruited by the Code Pinko's to disrupt our gathering. One of them actually stated this was so but who knows? Medea Benjamin knows.
The so called peace loving, tolerant from the left are in reality anything but that. Be prepared my friends for future confrontations with these insane creeps. The war of words is over and it
will become more physical and violent as time goes by I'm certain.
Some of us fully expected the shoving and pushing but many on our side were surprised
and taken aback by it.
My advice if you decide to go to one of these? Be ready to strike back and strike back with force, to defend yourself if nothing else. If you aren't prepared for physical confrontations then stay home. In fact if you aren't prepared to be arrested for taking a stance for freedom and our right to stand up to these liberal cowards, stay home. When the enemy is engaged there won't be time to protect you and since you will get little help from the police there you must be ready to fight and get bloody, and perhaps spend a night in the slam.
In summary I have to say I was honored to be there and to be a part of
the Move America Forward crowd. Melanie Morgan, Deborah Johns, Debbie Lee, Mary
Pearson were absolutely great. These ladies are unafraid to speak out and stand
up for what is right. I salute them!
It is difficult to understand why the traitorous cowards on the left are given any quarter or media time, in fact I don't see why we should even attempt to be civil to these creatures.

That's it people. Short and sweet. My original write up was a bit more colorful and detailed but it was written in military format that read like a after action report or AAR.
Nevertheless, you get a small glimpse of what we faced in the early stages. As the day progressed what was already a heated confrontation became even more so turning into anarchy and chaos later in the evening...to which I say that's Berzerkely folks...such a lovely place I hope I never have to go back to.

An ACT! for America supporter in New York recently came across a group of Muslims who were handing out flyers. She got in line to take one and alerted us to what was being distributed.

On the home page you will see at the top right a drawing of an automatic weapon that appears to be an AK-47. Scroll down the home page and you will read the following:
“Our mission is to one day see the Muslims united under one Khalifah and under the commands of Allah (SWT).”
[This is part of the worldwide agenda of militant Islam: to establish sharia law and unite the “umma” – the Muslim world – under one ruler, the caliph. Implicit in this, but not stated, is the rule of Islam over all people, as this is the only path to world “peace.”]
“We pray that we may witness the dismantlement of western, secular dominance across the world as we hold it to be pagan and idolatrous in the majority of its presumptions. It’s so easy for us Americans to think that what is happening in the Middle East won’t touch us, or that the “cultural Jihad” that has overwhelmed Great Britain could not possibly happen here.

The results of Super Tuesday are in -- and despite last Saturday's primary results, it appears Arizona Senator John McCain is most likely to capture the Republican Party’s nomination for president. Many conservatives, however, find this prospect exceedingly difficult to stomach.
Political pundit Rush Limbaugh is relentlessly pounding McCain on his radio broadcast. Limbaugh, like many other conservatives, believes McCain would give the store away to the Democrats. According to Newsmax, Limbaugh says: "We are sick and tired of how the people who seem to be triumphing in our party are precisely the people who seem to be selling this party out in terms of its ideology."
Certainly, the most disconcerting remarks were made by Focus on the Family’s, Dr. James Dobson. In a statement released on Wednesday, Dobson says: "I am deeply disappointed the Republican Party seems poised to select a nominee who did not support a Constitutional amendment to protect the institution of marriage, voted for embryonic stem-cell research to kill nascent human beings, opposed tax cuts that ended the marriage penalty, has little regard for freedom of speech, organized the Gang of 14 to preserve filibusters in judicial hearings, and has a legendary temper, and often uses foul and obscene language." [Editor's note: Dobson has since endorsed former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee for the GOP nomination.]
To say the least, there is a lot of frustration in the air on the part of conservatives -- especially conservative evangelicals. Brannon Howse of Worldview Network recently stated in an op-ed piece his frustration with certain evangelical leaders:
"The bottom line is, Dr. Dobson, Sekalow, Perkins, Bauer and Robertson shouldQuite frankly, I too believe evangelicals have had a great opportunity in Mike Huckabee. Social conservatives have largely held issues of morality are the nation’s Achilles heel -- even trumping issues like the economy and defense. The nation is only as strong as the content of its character. America needs a leader who has it right on the social issues, even when that leader may not be as strong in other areas.
have come out early on and supported the pro-life, pro-family candidacy of
Governor Huckabee. After Fred Thompson dropped out, Huckabee was the only 100% pro-life, pro-family candidate. Thanks to a lack of leadership, we now have John McCain picking up speed to the nomination. If McCain is the nominee, true
conservatives may vote, but I believe hundreds of thousands will not. In a race
of McCain against Hillary/Obama, I think the latter wins. And who can you thank?
In my humble opinion, the pro-family, pro-life leaders that were neither leading
nor thinking about the main thing being the main thing: A candidate with a 100%
pro-life, pro-family record." [Editor's note: Gary Bauer endorsed John McCain on
Monday.]
Most troubling, however, is that many conservative evangelicals are now acting as though God were not sovereign in the political process. Have we become more focused on the process than on the God who controls it? Granted, we must diligently seek to influence the culture for righteousness sake. Nevertheless, evangelicals are not sailing the ship politic and never were. There is but one Captain -- the Lord -- and He raises to power whomever He wills. Infighting and laying blame is counterproductive to advancing the kingdom.
These experiences test our faith in God’s mysterious ways. And they strain our commitment to Christian liberty -- the very foundation of our belief in political freedom. Let us lay aside the attacks on our brethren.
Neither is this a time to withdraw. Only a straining of the facts makes John McCain equal to or worse than the godless direction a Clinton or Obama ticket would take the nation. Such would not only imperil the social agenda of conservative evangelicals, but jeopardize one of the greatest of family values -- protection of the American people from the violence of its enemies. If America bails out on the war effort before the job is finished, the United States will not only be dishonored, but the terrorists will follow our troops home.
Moreover, to disengage -- worse still, not to vote -- I believe is a grievous mistake. Though a person certainly has the right to adhere to his/her conscience in such action, it should be noted that to do so is to walk away from one's place at the table. With what credibility can one possibly speak to those serving in office when one was previously unwilling to even vote? At that point, one's credibility as a part of the discussion -- now or later -- becomes significantly compromised.
For whatever it's worth, having served as a lobbyist in the North Carolina General Assembly since 1999, there are two great truths constantly before me when seeking to influence the politics of those sacred halls: (1) God is sovereign over everything and ultimately His will cannot be defeated; and (2) no person or group involved in politics ever gets all they want all of the time. But for Christ's sake, one must ever be vigilant in victory and defeat. And one must always find positive ways to stay engaged in the process.

Our very existence as a people and as a faith is in jeopardy. The threat to our survival has two components to it: the external siege being waged against Israel and the Jewish people throughout the world by the international jihadist movement, its sympathizers and appeasers; and the internal siege that we Jews, both in Israel and in the Diaspora, including the United States, are waging against ourselves.
We will look first at the external siege -- war that is being waged against us. It has its military, diplomatic, and ideological-propaganda aspects.

The Terrorist Cancer and the Cure for the Middle East

How do you fight cancer in an infected patient? Conventional wisdom would say that you do it by attacking the cancer cells in the body. When it comes to terrorism however, the West's prescription for fighting terrorism is to attack the healthy cells in the body instead.
If international terrorism is a cancer, the Middle East is practically late stage terminal. Yet the one place in the Middle East that is not producing cancer cells, the Jewish population of Israel, is the one that all the professional diplomats and surgeons busy playing surgeon are so eager to cut out.
The conventional wisdom among diplomats and pundits has it that the one non-Arab and non-Muslim state in the Middle East is the cause of all the Arab and Islamic terrorism. Which is a little like a doctor diagnosing the healthy parts of the body as cancerous and arguing that the cancer would go away if we simply got rid of the last healthy organ in the body.
An intelligent approach to the Middle East would have been to empower the Jewish, Christian, Sufi and Zoroastrian populations of the Middle East, to raise up the minority Assyrian, Kurdish, Armenian, Azeri and Coptic populations consistently persecuted by the Arab, Persian and Muslim majorities who sponsor and conduct terrorism against the West. Instead the United States has consistently disregarded their rights and focused instead on appeasing the region's Arab, Persian Nationalist and Islamic tyrannies.

Praying for a Friend and Brother
Many of you know, that I've been asking for prayer for a really good friend of mine, Pastor Jerry Travis. Last night, 3 of my pastor friends and I went to be with Jerry's family as they called everyone in to make some of those decisions that no one ever wants to have to make.
My friends and I got home around 12:30 am and the news this morning is that he made it through the night, but the doctors are saying 24 hrs to 3 days is all they are giving him.
It's difficult to lose another close friend and pastor, and I'm still holding out for a MIRACLE - but if the Lord decides to take Jerry home, he will get his reward for being a faithful servant!
My friends and I are headed back up to the hospital tonight and will probably spend the night with the family, so blogging is way down on the list of things-to-do.
I'm not sure if the Cyber Crew (the new name for the folks who write here) have anything ready or not, but check back in and continue to support us, even if there isn't much new here. The comments lately have been great and maybe you can keep that up.
