Hello my friend.
On the 5th of April we will be starting the first ever “Repentance Week” on Blog Talk Radio. We are also inviting everyone to join us in focusing on "Repentance" where ever they are during this week. You can do this as a family, a group, a church, or as a movement if you wish to work on getting one started.
As a country we have fallen very far from what we once were. Even the “church” is no longer what it once was and no longer what it was called by God to be. We have long since stopped teaching and preaching on things like Hell, sin, and of course Repentance. Look what has happened to us because of these omissions in the preaching the Word of God. Now we preach about how one can “Become a Better You”, “Get Your Best Life Now”, and of course we cannot leave out all the teachings on how God wants to bless us with money, power, or whatever we want " and are being taught by our preachers that he must do these things for us".
Where have the teachings on serving God, living a Holy life, and repentance gone? Look how far away from God's true Word the churches of today have gone because of this. How far off from the true Word of God have they gone? Well, I will let you be the judge of this but I believe it is high time we come back to the Biblical teachings of Hell, sin, living a Holy life, and repentance. If you are a Christian then you must know that without repentance, without faith in Christ alone, without trusting in Christ to save your soul from the eternal Hell we ALL deserve, there is NO salvation. So, why don’t we start preaching, teaching and proclaiming it to everyone everywhere? Let’s start this out with the first ever “Repentance Week”!!!
There are several goals we want to accomplish here. The first goal here is to remind everyone and teach everyone what true repentance is and how we are required to repent of our sins in order to be saved. This Repentance Week will serve to remind people and teach people, maybe for the first time in their lives, that “repentance” does not just mean saying you’re sorry to Jesus. It also means to agree with Him that what you have been doing IS in fact sin and you hate it just like He hates it. Also, Repentance Week will serve to remind people and teach people that repentance means one must “turn from his/her sin and then stop committing these sins from then on”. These things MUST be taught again within our churches. It must also be taught again outside of our churches every where. Everyone, dead or alive presently, will one day stand before a Holy God and WILL be judged for what they did AND what they did NOT do. If we fail to tell others the truth about how to be saved and instead give them some “other way” to be saved then God will hold us totally accountable for our omissions and for giving false teachings to them.
The second goal is to remember all of the lost people out there in the world who will one day die just as we will. Unlike some of us they have no eternal future with the Lord God in Heaven. Theirs will be an eternity of pain, horrors beyond our wildest imaginations and eternal separation from God. We ALL need to remember it is our duty as Christians to share Christ with the lost at ALL cost. In fact, this is a Commandment to us from God Himself. We must share with others that they can have Life in Jesus Christ. We must never delude them into thinking that all their problems will go away if they just repeat a little prayer and then they are suddenly saved. It is our duty to tell them the truth. If they do not repent of their sins and trust in Christ alone to save them they WILL be eternally lost in Hell forever.
It is our job to tell them what the Word of God says and what Jesus Christ Himself taught. If we teach anything more or less than that, we are NOT giving them the truth and we are not doing what God has called us to do. If we do not do as God has Commanded us to do, many of us very well may one day hear what it says in Matthew 7:21-23. (21)“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. (22) Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ (23) And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” Folks, these people thought they were saved, but indeed they were not because they did not repent. They repeated a prayer once and were told they were saved. Many people even did things in Christ’s Name but they were NOT saved because they did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, they did not repent, and they did not know the truth. Do you realize how many people who are IN the churches of today are NOT truly saved? I can assure you the numbers would astound us all. It is up to those few who have their eyes opened to these things to reach out to those who do not have their eyes open yet!
There will be many different Blog Talk Radio Hosts putting up broadcasts on this topic all throughout the week. Each will do whatever they feel is needed at the time. Some will be praying during the entire show time. Others may do some teaching and praying. Whatever you feel is needed is fine just as long as it goes along with the repentance theme and true Biblical principles.
