Small Town Tea Party - By Cyber Crew Member Garry

Tax Day Tea Party's across America were on for today, one small town in California held a small town version and the mix of attendees was a real hodgepodge.
Sonora, California is a small town in the central section of the California Mother Lode with a widely varying population of about 4,610 people. Even in such a small town as this, the turnout was more than one hundred people by one estimate. My personal observation would put the attendees at 120-150.

The town has been hit hard by the downturn in the economy with both small businesses and major employers either closing or planning closures. One of the largest closures will be one of last two wood mills owned by Sierra Pacific Industries and the loss of at least 146 jobs.

In the midst of all the closures, job losses, and home foreclosures come the day half of Americans dread - Tax Day. The other half don't pay any income taxes at all so the day is just another day.
This year there was a difference, and what may become an annual event if the attitude of the people I spoke to remains the same. A new tradition? The Tax Day Tea Party.

With limited time for talking to the participants I spent a half hour walking around and asking some of the people why they were involved and what their gripe with Tax Day was.

Some of the answers were eye opening even to a rabidly anti-tax type such as myself.

The first person I spoke to who, wouldn't give a name, was one of the "Flat Taxers" who told me he disagrees with the entire premise of the tax system, voted for Ralph Nader and believes the tax system is
"designed to maintain the power of elected officials."
I agree, but wouldn't vote for Ralphie even if he ran against two dogs and a aardvark.

Another attendee 'Mike' sees the issue as more complicated problem than just the amount of taxes being levied against the American public in light of the massive spending cycle the current Administration and Congress have embarked on.
So
Mike described the issue in terms of States Rights versus the enumerated powers of the Federal Government and the vast over-extension of power the Federal Government has been moving toward for generations.
Mike actually had a rather dire outlook on the future of the nation, as do I on alternating days. The power structure inside the beltway is designed to promote itself and maintain the status quo of its inhabitants. The people they are meant to serve are just the monetary generation modules sued to maintain that status quo.

In a very brief survey this afternoon, the mix of attendees ran the gamut from Conservative Republicans to Liberal Democrats to Libertarians and Independents. There seemed to be no unifying political background other than an extreme dissatisfaction with the increase in the national debt and the debt load being "paid forward to our grandchildren's grandchildren" That phrase with differences in wording is one I heard from the majority of the people in the Courthouse Park today.
The disgruntlement of most of the folks was apparent from the number of people willing to turnout in the middle of a workday in a town this size. Some of the comments I got regarding the current pretender to the Throne of Obama (I'm sure the presidency will be renamed for him) were simply nothing I would be willing to ask anyone to print.

The real concern appeared to be not just what was happening to the country right now and in the immediate future but what was going to happen to future generations for many generations yet unborn.

One gentleman was worried about runaway inflation turning all of his retirement money into enough to buy a Double Mac Hamburger - no cheese, no fries, no drink. And also by the way "No freakin' hope"

With the suspension of the national currency of Zimbabwe two days ago by decree of the government of Zimbabwe and replacing it with US Dollars plus the currency of two neighboring countries, to the extent Zimbabwe is willing to use US Dollars, they may have jumped out of the frying pan into the fire.
And some of us may not be left with a pan to cook in, if we leave the CONgress alone long enough to finish the business of destroying the economy of this country.

The idea of ceceding from the Union is one which is still on the table for Texas according to Texas Goverenor Rick Perry, and it is certainly looking like a better idea on a daily basis.

Submitted by Garry:

One Party Rule - Worked For King George!

In the days of yore when the RepubliCrats were in the majority, the byword of the day was bi-partisanship. An all inclusive government, brininging the best ideas of both parties to the table to discuss so the RepubliCrats could feel good about themselves knowing they had given in to the DemocraSocialists and in the process learned how to write Earmks as well as the Socialists, Liberal Scum, Donkey Dungers, DemocraSocialists. These days a much better plan for the DemocraSocialists has been provided by SINator Dingey Hairy Reid and Red Nanny PeeLousy.

The Era of MonoParty Theatricaly Yammering (EMPTY) politics is being foisted on the American brain dead electorate who chose The Spongebama after realizing John McShamnesty was just DemocraSocialist Lite and not overly hip, photogenic and had a lousy speechifying voice. (my seven year old grandson sounds more manly than Johhny Arizona does).

Dingey Reid has every intention it seems of passing both a Nationalized Health Care (Euro-Centric lack of health care plan) and an energy plan with no input from or interference from the SINate RepubliCrats.
One party rule is here and here to stay if the DemocraSocialists (DS's) have their way.

We could of course applaud the DS's willingness to take on the burden of failure and the responsibility for that failure, but that would ultimately be counter productive. The DS's would blame the RepubliCrats for the failures, the RepubliCrats would fight back like limp wristed under weight sumo wrestlers and accept the blame and we're back to square one ( or further.)

Dingey Harry with his insistence on creating an even larger entitlement program to keep the masses of unemployed, under employed and Illegal Invaders of thee country in the DemocraSocialist ranks is willing to take the nation down a path to oblivion for the purpose of Partisan Rule in Perpetuity.

To hell with the Nation, the EuroDemocraSocialists are determined to maintain what they appear to see as their birthright, which is to rule from the Halls of the New American Aristocracy without the need to deal with the RepubliCrat Proletariat and their crazy ideas of personal freedom, personal responsibility, free market capitalism and the ability for each and every American to be the best they can be without interference from government regulation, interference and hyper-taxation.

Health Care, Cap & Trade Non-Energy Policy, The (freedom (from) Fairness Doctrine (otherwise known as the Slow Down, I Can't Keep Up Act) and I'm sure a whole raft of "New Ideas For a New Beginning" (of the end) programs to equalize (clear) the playing field for under achievers are what's in store for the Uniited States if this train wreck is allowed to proceed unhindered.

Diogenes Does Not Work At the NYT

by garry

Truth is relative in the Middle East, even more so when the truth might be inconvenient to the foreign policy objectives of the Western or Arab ruling powers. ANd the truth is completely irrelevant when it runs counter to the agenda of one of the Big Media corporations.

Diogones the Cynic is the ancient Greek who wandered around the Greek city-state of Corinth with a lamp looking for an honest man. My belief is that he could use a halogen lamp and a Maseratti today and still be unsuccessful in the attempt.

In reading an article in yesterdays (12-14-08) Jeruslaem Post by Barry Rubin, that point was again made clear.Reading the article linked will be informative.

One partial quote is from Himam as-Sa'id the leader of the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood. Posted at IMRA, (Middle East Media Research Institute) and the Independent Media Review Analysis website , below is more from that speech.

Sheik Himam Sa'id, Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan: "Oh
noble Gaza, raise your head high. You have made the Muslims raise their
heads high. And you, people of Hebron - you are now waging a war against the
Jews. You are well-versed in this. We saw how, on a day in 1929, you
slaughtered the Jews in Hebron. Today, slaughter them on the land of Hebron.
Kill them in Palestine. Arise, oh people of Palestine, all the people of
Palestine - arise in defense of your Al-Aqsa Mosque, arise in defense of
Nablus and Hebron. Arise and face the [PA] Preventive Security forces. Fear
them not, for they are rabbits. They are wolves, so fear them not, oh lions.
Those are the words from the leader of a group the New York Times described as "The Moderate Muslim Brotherhood"
From the NYT article:.........critics speculate that the Brotherhood helps radicalize Muslims in both the Middle East and Europe. But in fact, it appears that the Ikhwan works to dissuade Muslims from violence, instead channeling them into politics and charitable activities.

Moderate? The only moderate in that is the moderate mental derangment of the NYT authors Robert S. Leiken and Steven Brooke in the April 23, 2007 article.

Then again from the J'lem Post article, Rubin mentions Palestinian Authority Ambassador to Lebanon Abbas Zaki. Another gentleman many in the West have cozied up to.
Again from the IMRA / MEMRI website
Abbas Zaki: We consider the U.S. to be an enemy because its only strategic
alliance is with Israel.
Interviewer: How could you possibly accept your enemy in your land?
Abbas Zaki: What do you mean? We meet even with Israel.
Interviewer: How can you consider Israel to be your enemy, if you signed a
peace treaty with it?
Abbas Zaki: Allow me... This enemy... If I had the capabilities of the
U.S. - would I be fighting it or negotiating with it?
Interviewer: Israel ceased being an enemy once you signed a peace treaty
with it. I don't know how it could be your enemy. Do you talk to the
Israelis as if they were your enemies? Do you talk to Israel as a friendly
or enemy country?
Abbas Zaki: An enemy country, which owes us certain things. The heroic
Vietnamese used to negotiate with the French, while they were slaughtering
them.
These are the 'people' against which we struggle, and the unwitting (in some cases) support given by Western media should be and would have been in the past, found to be aiding and abetting a known enemy. A crime which would land the perpetrator in a federal penitentary or against a wall.

In closing I will suggest that there are simply no honest men (or women) left in government, and as for Diogenes, the only evidence I see of his successors are those who are involved with citizen journalism on the internet. Those in Big Media have no interest in truth or even "The Story" Everywhere I look, the "news" and "reporting" is being skewed to further an agenda.

Big Media is failing at it's job and in the marketplace. Time for them to roll up their tent and go home.

Fairness Doctrine Obama Style

by Garry

Obama and Hugo Chavez have a few things in common, both Socialists, both thugs, both interested in and schooled in clearing the field of all rivals.

So it should be no surprise for the world at large or the American public that Obama, if given half a chance to exert his power will clear the field nationaly the same way he's done in the past in Chicago Thug Politics. In much the same way Hugo Chavez is now trying to do in Venezuela by agitating for his main political rival to be thrown into prison on charges for which Hugo can offer no specific evidence. A lot like Obama's experience - no specific evidence.

Obama will almost undoubtedly institute some form of the Fairness Doctrine if he is elected. The stifling of dissent is what the Left is nearly always clamoring and whining about. The rallying cry tends to be "We can't make it in the Free Market, so the Free Market is unfair to us boo hoo, boo hoo."

Obama, like Chavez would attempt to consolidate his power base. With no thoughts for the nation as a whole, but purely for monetary and ideological reasons. Remember this if nothing else, Socialists may make a lot of noise about the discrepancies of how a Capitalist society works, but when the Socialists gain the power, the regime leaders live the fat life. The common masses may have to live like dogs, begging for the scraps, but the leaders have all they need with all of the perks which goes with having all the control.

Just like North Korea, there may be two or three million people starving to death this year alone due to drought and then storms in the rice growing regions, but you will notice the bloated corpulence of Kim Jong "I'm So" Il is always apparent at every appearance he makes.

Except for now, since the reported brain surgery, and the lack of appearances he makes. The brain surgery by the way was a failure, none could be found. Just a large and secondary spleen pumping out venality and hatred for humanity in general.

One last thought, do remember the quote from Vladimir Lenin: The Butcher of Russia
"The goal of socialism, is communism"

That should bring into stark relief the reason why the fight against The Obama IS SO IMPORTANT.

The socialism The Chosen Witless One will lead America to is just a waypoint to the ultimate goal of communism and the crushing of all which made this nation the beacon of personal freedom it used to be.

The right, the duty and responsibility of every American is to protect what it is to be American, to protect what sets us apart from the European socialists and allowed us to be a destination dream for the rest of the worlds poor.

Last I looked, the number of people sneaking into Cuba, Zimbabwe, China, North Korea or Venezuela matched the number who were just passing through on the way to somemwhere else. Most notably, on their way to America.

Garry's Bailout Plan - Work!

by Garry

Hard Truth - One Solution

There is always a solution for every problem, we just don't always happen to like the solutions when they include hard work.

Unfortunately the current economic "crisis" which isn't really a crisis is one of those times when the only real solution is easy to see, but difficult to put into practise.

The solution is: Work.

That would of course be a four letter word to all politicians who see the solutions to all problems as how to finagle a tax raise while not calling it a tax increase.

Whether we call the Banking Welfare Program a 'bailout', a 'rescue or just wealth redirtibution on a massive scale never seen before.

It fits the definition of a tax to me. The Federal Government doesn't have any money, they need some, so they have decided to come get mine (and yours.)

The origin of the money the Feds are coming to get is what we as Americans do for a living, we work. (unless you happen to be a welfare user. And before you go there, I know there are folks who are simply not able to work. Probably at least 10%-15% of the total Welfare case load is just simply not able to do what they need to do to provide for themselves. The other 85%-90%, get up off your dead derriere and get a job.

But I have digressed badly here, so ever onward and into the fray...

Work, it's how we as a nation got through World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War (lost by politician pansies) and then the Cold War. We worked, every American who could, did.

We had a goal and the goal was survival of the nation, except for the American Socialists and American Communists who wanted to destroy what they couldn't defeat.

Now at this time in the life of this nation - the United States of America, it is time again for a National Consensus to WORK our way out of the problem of an overburdening debt (primarily to China and the Middle Eastern Oil Sheiks)

We can do it, we just need to want to. My fathers generation lived through and worked their way through the Great Depression, not standing around looking for a hand-out, but WORKED their way through it.

The Federal Government as I said earlier has no money, and right now we as a nation spend more than we earn (most of which the Government then takes away) So if the fools in CONgress decide in absence of any noticeable intelligence to pay out the Banking Welfare Program, they will have to borrow it from somewhere - The Chinese Communists are an easy touch since they already own so much of our debt.

Which means of course, to repay the debt, there will be a new tax rate for all who pay taxes. Taxes which will ultimately go to the ChiComs and the Saudi's and Canada and Mexico. (debt, oil, oil, oil)

But there is a better solution which is a Tough Love solution, but a real solution instead of just a fiscal band-aid, and that is to let the banks fail who will, let the folks who can't afford the homes they are in to lose those homes and lets all begin to do the work which needs to be done - on an individual basis we can collectively pull through the worst mess the Democrats have ever caused when they got involved in the social engineering/mortgage business.

So, if the 'crisis' is to be averted, the solution is to get up tomorrow and go to work, and then do the same on Friday, and perhaps as I do work Saturday, then rest on Sunday and start it all over again.

Repeat as needed.

Work, the one solution which includes success.

Success for each individual and for us as a nation.

Now that wasn't so hard was it?

Jew4John

Jews4John

by Garry

The Siena Poll of New York likely voters is really going to upset the tummies of the Democrat Party, if they have any sense at all.

New York Jews have not voted republican en masse since Ronald Reagan and as of
six months ago didn't appear to have changed.

The tide has seemingly turned though. In the Siena Poll (cross tabs) section is a demographic which should make Mr Obama start thinking about what to do with all of his spare time after next November.

The issue would be Sen. John McCain garnering 57% of the New York Jewish favorable view and Mr Obama getting a miserable 38% favorable rating.

That is not good news for the Obama/Biden camp, since the last time this
happened Ronaldus Maximus Reagan won in such a landslide the world doesn't even
remember who his opponent was. (actually the guy who ran against Reagan went on
to get a job building houses for free and roaming the globe trash talking the
United States and Israel )

In all, John McCain outscored Obama in most of the categories when the Jewish
vote was tallied. And in many of the areas John McCain outscored Barack Hussein
Obama even when all likely voters were tallied. particularly in areas such as
security, patriotism (go figure).

The Jewish vote really shouldn't be able to make much of a difference in the
total electoral process, but it does tend to do so. Jews make up approximately 2% of the US population, but also have the ability to swing quite a few of the states in which they make up a larger percentage of the population. New York and Pennsylvania are two of those states according to Jeffrey S. Helmreich at Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JPCA).

With fully 55% of the Jewish voters responding they have followed the national race closely, the poll seems to be an indicator of how much the Presidential race concerns a group who tend to focus on the outcome of support or non-support for Israel. Mr. Obama may have been taking the Jewish vote for granted in some of the states he feels are "locked in", but these this poll shows there are no guaranteed voters
outside the Far Left and Far Right voters who will always vote for a Yellow Dog if he runs on the (pick one) ticket.

One other not so surprising statistic which came from the poll shows 50% of Jewish
voters consider John McCain very qualified while only 18% of the Jewish respondents believed Obama to be very qualified.

At this time there are no other comprehensive voter polls which show the complete demographic shift for Sen. John McCain, but the numbers despite being from a relatively small number of respondents shows a shift which is certain to give pause to the Obama camp and reason to reflect on where their priorities lie.

Soviet Union Re-Emerges

By Garry

Pre and post World War II saw the former Soviet Union using military force to expand it's borders and more notably its influence around the world. That dream may have failed with its last Five Year Plan, but the hopes for communist supremacy didn't.
The most recent aggressive moves by the remnant of the former Soviet Union highlights the long term goals of a nation which has been aggressive in nature since the 1920's.

From the invasion of Poland in 1917 through the attacks on the Georgian state this week, the Soviet, and now Russian, Imperialism forces appear to have had a single minded focus on planting the seeds of communism around the world.

The downfall of the former Soviet Union (USSR) to the forces of Democracy and the splintering of the USSR under Mikhail Gorbachev, prove to have been nothing more than a setback in the ultimate scheme, rather than game, set, and match for communism.

The dissolving of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in 1991 appears to have been more a Public Relations move than an actual elimination of the desires of the communist leadership or rank & file members.

Former Russian President Vladimir Putin has been able to maintain and consolidate his power base even in the face of term limits which forced him from the Presidency and into what some would describe as a lesser role as Prime Minister. The most recent moves to bolster the Ossetian breakaway area from the legitimate government of Georgia though, speaks loudly of the hold Putin as a former KGB agent (1976-1991) retains on the Russian government and the deployment of Russian military.

The efforts of both Putin as Prime Minister and Dimitry Medvedev as the Current President of Russia are to retain the Ossetian area with its Russian citizenry as an entity separate from Georgia. Most probably because of the Georgian involvement in the War on Jihad in Iraq (third largest military contingent after the US and Britain) and also because Georgia has aspirations of joining NATO.

The old Russian anecdotal joke regarding how the satellite nations felt about Russian over-lordship seems to be reflected in the political leanings of the Georgians. (asked by a reporter an anonymous villager said: The Russians are our brothers", when asked by the reporter how the villager felt about the Western governments he said :The Americans
are our friends", when asked why the difference, the villager says, "With our relatives we have no choice, but we get to choose our friends")

Russian President Dimitry Medvedev made a statement Friday
that Russia's continued peacekeeping presence in the Georgian territory
was "absolutely lawful" and accused Georgian troops of committing "what
amounts to an act of aggression against Russian peacekeepers and the
civilian population in South Ossetia."

Lawful seems to a word open to interpretation in this case. The case could be compared to Iraq and the United States or Afghanistan if the South Ossetians had been likely to attempt a
military campaign against Russia, or Georgia. But, Ossetia was not a legitimate autonomy within Georgia, South Ossetia had won autonomy from Georgia as a practical matter during a war with Georgia which ended in 1992, but is still fully enclosed within Georgia with only a very small border which abuts Russia.

The real issue which remains for the rest of the world is the aspect of military aggression by Russia against those it perceives to be not under its direct influence.

From Ethiopia, to Afghanistan, Somalia and now Georgia, The former Soviet Union hub which is Russia has consistently used military methods for domination of the region.

Now with a pact of six nations including most notably Russia and Communist China in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Western aligned nations face a formidable military and economic bloc which can and has begun to produce problems throughout the Western Hemisphere, as in Venezuela.

The existing 'war' in South Ossetia will be over soon, sooner than the Olympics I'm certain. But the wake-up call to recognize the re-emergence of Russia as a nation which is not the friend of the United States will remain for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

The Liberal "Progressives" of the United States should pay attention to the problem, not of South Osstia, but of what the military campaign might be considered a harbinger of.

That though, is very unlikely.

Oil is at $114 Again? Follow the Money Trail

Oil is at $114 Again? Follow the Money Trail

by Garry

What happened to oil? The threat of drilling is still the motive force here, as much as I disagree with the Gang of Ten - including the five turncoat RepubliKrats joining with the enemy DementedKrats.

The very Liberal Pres. Jorge W. Bushez lifted the Executive oil drilling ban, then the Gaggle of Groupies being "bi-partisan" seems to have had an effect. Bummer. More drilling, more drilling, more drilling. The Gaggle of Groupies has handed the business of oil exploration and development to a most unlikely group of Libtards, the ALCU, Animal Whacko's and probably the ASPCA too.

* The bill will require opening additional areas for development in the Gulf of Mexico and allow drilling off the coasts of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, incumbent on approval from those states. Any drilling activity approved by the states would be done at least 50 miles from shore. A commission would also be created recommending areas for leasing in the future.

As the old saying goes, "The devils in the details" Just who is the 'commission going to be staffed by? - The answer to that is that it will be a bunch of leftist pinko commie Libtards. Their answer to drill now, drill here is of course "

* "No, It needs to be studied. We need an environmental impact report (EIR) and we need to know what the affect will be on the Black Nosed Bottle Snails sexual performance before any actual drilling can take place. Or even any exploration, Or any talking about drilling, which would of course upset the mating rhythms of the American Leftist Pinkoids and should be the focus of a separate EIR."

* The group is led by Sen. Kent Conrad, a North Dakota Democrat, and Sen. Saxby Chambliss, a Georgia Republican. The Senators said they plan to pay for the $84 billion in spending in the bill by eliminating $30 billion in tax breaks for energy companies and by ensuring the federal government gets a fair share of revenue from the Gulf of Mexico drilling leases.

As always, just follow the money trail to find out whose butt the CONgress is sniffing. The governments fair share? For what problems in the housing market?

Whatever! The government has no stake in the risk of exploration or production, with zero risk should come the same profit for the government, zero. Leave it alone I say, let the OIL companies do the business of business and let us all sit back and watch the barrel price of oil hit a new low of $20 a bbl before the end of the year.

Garry asks: "Oil $$$ drops, Why?

by Garry

Oil $$$ drops, Why?

While many in the media ask why the price of a barrell of oil has dropped so dramatically in the past several weeks, the answer is really very simple.

George W Bush rescinded the Executive Branch order prohibiting off shore drilling. Just the threat of off shore drilling, without a single foot of new oil well being drilled and the price began to drop.

Despite the recision being mostly symbolic! There is still a federal law preventing drilling offshore, which only CONgress can lift, but all it took was the threat of finding more crude to pump and speculators ran out of excuses to drive the price higher.

In the past three weeks the price has come down from just over $147 per bbl to a close of $119.42 on Tuesday Aug 5th.

The only thing eemingly standing in the way of an even lower dip in the price of oil is Korade Nancy Pelosi's abillity to control the actions of the Peoples House of Representatives, And Dingy Harry Reid controlling the agenda of the Senate. Neither of the two Socialist democrat leaders appear willing to grant the American public a break at the gas pump, unless of course the American people are willing to place another Socialist Democrat at the helm as Komrade President. Whether it is Komrade obama or if he is upstaged and outmaneuvered by Komrade Clinton is not a big issue for the end game of the Socialist Democrats.

All blessings must appear to come from those who want to run the lives of every American, the Liberal Elite Socilist Democrats, who are by birth and by rank in office, much more intelligent and wise than the common man (or woman.)

In the mean time $4.00 gasoline is our penance for re-electing the White House, Occupant, Liberal, Executive, G W Bush instead of the second messi-DUH ALGore. And our options are in theory limited to which of the next mess-DUHs to anoint in Nov.

As for me and my house we have chosen to understand their was only one Messiah, He was perfect, and He has not yet returned for His people. Can I get an Amen?

p.s.
For all of the Socialist Democrats who deny the Real Messiah. How sad.

Garry Hammers Saudi Official's Decision on Marriage

by Garry

The Prophet Muhammad (Moe) married Aisha when she was six and consumated the marriage by having sex with her when she was nine.It is the Prophet Moe whose model we follow.Saudi Marriage Officiant Dr Ahmad Al-Mub'i declares in a video clip the tenets of Islamic Law (sharia law) concerning marriage. Dr Al states that for a girl to be wed at the age of one year is perfectly acceptable.

The clip is
HERE

This rag head camel jockey is completely serious about this. For those who are from the Left side of the aisle, pay attention, this is what yielding to the enemy will bring to your doorstep.
Sharia law is being implemented by de facto in the U.K., there are sections of english cities which the Bobby's (British Police )will not enter, they have been warned not to enter by the reigning Imams, who suggest the Bobby's are not safe in those areas.

Why is the ignorance of a 7th Century child molestor (Moe) so difficult for those on the Left to understand?

DID YOU BUMP YOUR HEAD?

This Global War on Jihad (GWOJ) is coming to a theatre near you! War Theatre that is.

School Districts Buckle to Islamo-Fascists

by Garry

The American Textbook Council report tells us local school districts have buckled under to the pressure of Islamo-Fascist infiltrators in the United States to dumb down and de-radicalize the books which will be used to teach middle school and high school students.

The books in question remove all inference of violence from the word jihad, the books in question remove or adjust the definition of sharia (islamic law.)

The Islamo Fascists have taken a page out of the Communist Manifesto, and Nikita Kruschevs game-plan.
Attempting to subvert the nation of the United States from within.

  •  "Textbook editors try to avoid any subject that could turn into a political grenade," wrote Gilbert Sewall, director of the council, who railed against five popular history texts for "adjust[ing] the definition of jihad or sharia or remov[ing] these words from lessons to avoid inconvenient truths.

  •  "But that is, literally, the translation of jihad," said Reza Aslan, a religion scholar and acclaimed author of "No god but God: The Origins, Evolution, and Future of Islam." (and resident Islamo Fascist hatemonger) Aslan explained that the definition does not preclude a militant interpretation.
It is really late in the game to re-declare the need to rid this nation of IslamoFascists, but I say it again, they - the Islamo Fascists need to be rounded up, placed not on trial, but held for Military Tribunal's as non-aligned combatants and infiltrators and then when found guilty of subversion, placed against the nearest wall for Military Execution.

This Nation must defend itself, MUST defend itself, no other nation on the planet has any reason to want us to remain top dog. China , Mexico , or even that Third World spit Hole Venezuela would like to see us on our knees so they can kick us until we're down for the count.

It's up to the people of this nation, and us alone.

The current crop of Socialist wannabe's don't have the cojones, stamina or intelligence to see the need for the self interests of this Nation to be made a priority. All they can see is the next election, and the never ending pursuit of power. They (CONgress +) are just as guilty as the Islamo Fascists for their inactivity on the behalf of the welfare of this nation. They need to be held accountable also, at a Military Tribunal for Treason and High Crimes against the Country.

Let Justice be served.

"Every Day is Memorial Day" - I Pondered Long and Hard

This day after Memorial Day is another new beginning for us here at Do The Right Thing. For several days we have been posting a series entitled "Build Up to M-Day".  The purpose was that our troops and veterans deserve to be remembered more than 2 or 3 days a year.

To keep that spirit going, we are going to continue that theme with a new name "Every Day is Memorial Day".

Here is the first post, and SGT Porter is listed on our GWOT Prayer List. --- Cyber Pastor

submitted by Garry

I pondered long and hard about the issue of a post or just a note for Memorial Day, and one point was simply overwhelmed by the emotions it brings up. After listening to Daniel Porter speak on Sunday, I was lost.

Nothing I have, nothing I know compares to what the men and women serving now are going through.

It's easy to think or to say all war is the same. Good people live and good people die. But this time around, while the issues are clear cut, it's a lot more difficult to tell the players even with a score card.

Mistakes are made, and the wrong people die, that seems to be the worst part Daniel has to go through.
When his unit was attacked  and he got hurt, there were no casualties in his unit, but everything else in a radius did not walk away. That's just the way it is, when your buddies ass is on the line, everything else is secondary. When people live in a war zone, they just need to live with that fact, they are IN a war zone.

Ain't pretty, just real.

By the way, God the Father had his had on Daniel on the 3rd of March. The EFP which went through two open windows took his name tapes off his jacket on the way through.

Y'all take care and be blessed

Nobama - Not Now, Not Ever

by Garry

Barack Hussein Obama has no gravitas. NObama has found his stride in the hunt for the nomination, he has been able to create some space between himself and the Wrong Reverend Wright, but he has no gravitas.

NObama has run an excellent campaign to date, he has stranded Shiitlery Clinton like a beached whale at high tide. NObama has run rings around her in getting financial support and offers what she will never have despite her being married to the first black president. He appeals to the Effete Liberal Elites and their need for absolution against injustice.

If the demographics of each primary are looked at, NObama won the areas where the Effete Limp Wristed elitist Liberals hold the largest margins. University towns, Liberal North Eastern bastions of Elitism, and perhaps most importantly, the Vast Left Wing Media Conspiracy, otherwise known as the Main Stream Media.

While she fought for the nomination, Shiitelery was able to garner the votes from the group NObama called’ bitter', the Democrats who are gun totin, Bible clenching aficionados of Blue Collar humor. The Democrats who believe in America , the Democrats who understand the need to bleed to keep America free. Shiitlery is able to accommodate the Democrats who have a belief system connected Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness. They are wrong headed that group, but so are the Republican In Name Only crop of liberal sycophants currently in office.

NObama appeals to those who see the European Union socialist countries as the epitome of Statehood, the Holy Grail of the cradle to grave nanny state. And of course, NObama appeals to the EuroSocialist crowd who want so desperately for America to become just another vassal state of the European Union, or at least second in world stature to the EU.

Unfortunately for the effete snobs of both the EU and the Liberal Bastions of American Socialism, NObama is no more likely to be elected President of the United States than John "effen" Kerry. The Socialist elitism of both Kerry and NObama don't play well with the Average American No matter the party affiliation. And especially for the Reagan Democrats who crossed over the party line to follow the vision of someone who was able to convince them of the insurmountable greatness of America . Those Dixiecrats will never follow a man who they see as looking down on them from a lofty height, offering his scintilla of accommodation to their needs.

The NObama campaign has played a fine line of pandering to the myriad groups which make up the Democrat party, promising health care to those who old enough to really need it, or who have children and really need health care. Promising higher taxes against the "rich" no explanation of who the "rich" are, just that they will have to pay more so someone else can pay less. Promising to protect the tax cuts for the poor, who oddly enough don't actually PAY taxes, mostly they just GET tax returns for having paid no taxes in the first place.

The promises ring hollow to any and all who actually listen to the vacuous and empty promises and try to make sense of them (and fail)

But NObama does appeal to a fast growing segment of America , the Muslim community, who see his ties to Muslim theology, his ties to dealing diplomatically with Hamas and by inference with Hizbullah. (two sides of the same coin)

But I digress as usual, the group Nobama will never carry in a General Election are those old style Democrats and independents who value two items, Freedom of Speech and the Right to Bear Arms, those are Rights which we as Americans have made our own, ask anyone in a third world cesspool nation with a Dictatorial Leadership, what they like about America and the answer is nearly always the same - Freedom.

The Freedom to speak out, the Freedom to be whatever they are able to be.
Again those gun toting, Bible packing "bitter" people NObama spoke about. The people who have little trust for multinational, Eurocentric corporations and organizations, such as the United Nations.

Free speech is tied to the US as it is in no other country or group of countries, it is the one thing we export which is never in short supply. Except in the Universities, and the Liberal Bastions of Information Slavery (Left Wing Media Conglomerates) On the campuses of America is where the concept of "Never Offensive" speech has taken root. The idea that no one should be offended at anythi9ng for any reason.

American religious belief is still alive despite the Socialist Apologist Media and their attempts to stamp it out. Despite nearly five decades of trying, we still cling to our beliefs, and hold tightly to our guns in the understanding that the threat of the guns are what keeps the RIGHT of Religious worship from being taken away.We as Americans support Israel and we have from the beginning, not because we are Jewish Apologists, but more because we like to se the underdog win, more because despite the odds, Israel not only became a nation again, but also survived against the Arab onslaught time and time again. The fundamental and common bond of Jewish belief and Christian belief keeps America and Israel united against those foes who even now seek to destroy both the Zionists and the Great Satan. We stand against Islam, and will continue to do so until it is no longer a threat to the civilized world.

Nobama is a effete, limp wristed intellectual, well insulated from reality by his Ivy League education and the Liberal angst for the sins of their fathers (now great, great grandfathers commission of the act of slavery).

Nobama carries an unspoken hatred of American values, he must if he is to consort with and befriend the likes of rev Jerry Wright, Bill Ayers the "former" weather Underground Terrorist.
Even NObamas wife hates America, since she was never proud of America until she saw her husband making chumps of so many simple minded morons who were taking the slogan of "Hope" and "Change" without so much as even a two paragraph explanation of what to hope for or what NObama was going to change.

NObama has promised to discuss our differences with all who hate us, making them our everlasting friends by some wink of the eye, or nod of the head or giving in to their demands most likely. Again, NObama is an America Hater. We are always wrong, we always do the wrong and immoral act, every ill on the planet is our fault, if only we were nicer and had more compassion and we could raise the taxes on the rich more, so we could send more of those taxes overseas to cure the ills of every militaristic third world despot (North Korea comes to mind) the world would love us and we could all sing Kumbaya and be in a Coca-Cola commercial.

In the coming years, America will need a Leader who is able to inspire the nation to be strong, a leader who will be able to meet head on the threat of Iran and their desire for nuclear weapons, North Korea and their unwillingness to abide by the Nonproliferation Treaty they signed. The next leader of the Free World will need to be able to meet the threat of Islam and it's apparent desire, fueled by petro-dollars, to destroy all who won't accept their False god of Allah and the 7th Century child molester Muhammad.

In short, we don't need NObama, not now, and not in the future. NObama is in fact a more serious threat to this nation than Shiitelery Clinton ever hoped to be.

Op-Ed: From the Charismatic Point of View

This is actually a relatively short reply to the issue of Charismaniac Christian belief. Only because I don’t believe there’s much to say as regards a belief versus a physiological manifestation of reality.

Preface: Belief for all Christians is based on that which we cannot reach out and physically touch, smell, hear or see. We all have that in common, from there we tend to diverge into various groups or denominations to the nth degree.

That said, here goes. I will highlight my response in blue to NJ_GOP's comments. And NJ – never fear and let your heart not be troubled, offense is never taken at any faith viewpoint which embodies as THE central tenet of Christ crucified, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. Beyond the application of Christ as the Son of God and the Trinity, everything else is just a detail. The last time I looked none of the rest of us has a direct line (DSL or Cable modem etc.) to the Father.

Ok so here's where everybody gets crazy.  I have never found a verse that has convinced me that these gifts stopped when the Bible was canonized (proper term?).  However, having spent many years within the Charismatic movement, having studied the re-emergence of "gifts" in the early 20thcentury in the U.S. , and having sincerely tried to apply the Charismatic way of life, I have come to the conclusion that 90% of the teachings of the movement are erroneous, maybe even dangerous.

I will disagree with the teachings per se as being erroneous, I will agree that the application of the teaching is often outside the written Word, as revealed to man through the Holy Spirit.

Charismatics, Pentacostals, Full Gospelers, Faith Movement Folks all seem to share the same common flaw in my humble opinion.  Their
attitudes often reflect a desire to be God – anybody ever heard of Adam and Eve?

Those who interpret Scripture to allow the Father OR His Son or to be placed in a position as co-equal to fallen man are going to wind up in eternity without a cool place to sit.

Over and over the teachers in these areas stress the importance of one's personal faith as the power behind getting your needs and desires fulfilled. This seems to be central in many books, sermons, chatrooms, blogs, whatever.  If something isn't going your way, then gosh darn it stamp your foot and demand that God obey your wishes!  These teachers often advise Christians to quote the Bible to God to coerce him into obedience.  Now they will say that this is based on David's prayers where he remembers God's word in his prayers….and yes, we should know God's word well enough to be able to pray like David.  But the distinction is in the attitude.

Attitude is personal, it happens to be only between God and the individual. Unless we develop the “ability” to directly read a persons intent or thoughts its all guess work.

I will agree there are people who seem to have made that error.
E.W. Kenyon is likely the beginning of that vein of thought - “What I confess, I possess” was his terminology if memory serves.

The whole “name it and claim it” is from that line of thought. Ken Hagin was really the beginning though of the current Word of Faith movement though with the “blab it and grab it” concept, along with Ken Copeland, Joyce Meyer, Joel Osteen and some others.

I have read my Book through and through, I fid no reference which will lend credence to me having an easy life, or being wealthy just because I believe in Christ and am willing to die rather than give my self over to the enemy.

For any of the Cyber Crew (or our readers) who happen to swing that way, - It’s your choice, I just don’t see any evidence of a Heaven on Earth being promised to us.

I have often said I would have made a great Jew or Catholic.  I would just love to be able to have someone hand me the rules and all I have to do is follow the checklist and I'm good to go.  No offense intended here, I know many in both faiths whose relationship with God is way beyond a checklist.

My point is that it is the attitude of our hearts that is the key to all matters of faith.  And keeping one's motives and thoughts in check is a lot harder than keeping an outward list of requirements for me.

We agree, except for being Catholic, I don’t need, want or desire an intermediary to stand between myself and Christ.

Charismatics frequently (almost always it seems) have an attitude problem.

Some do. So do Baptists, Presbyterians, Catholics, Lutherans and….

For one thing,  Charismatics will not accept that anything bad can happen to a Christian.

Excuse me, but where does that come from? My wife is a cancer survivor (6+ yrs).

That wasn’t so terribly great to have happen. (she is a Christian also BTW)

 2nd preface(can their be two?)

I was raised as a Southern Baptist, fell away while I was in the service, and came back in a very small Non-denom church(which altered to a Word of Faith – Blab it and grab it)and went from there to a Assembly of God. At no time have I heard a Pastor ever say, or intimate that we as Christians are protected from the evils of the world. Only that having either gone through the ‘bad things’ or having succumbed (physically) to something bad, we have the Hope Of Christ for an eternity which so good, we are not capable of understanding at this point in our existence how good it can be.

If someone tries that line of “Ghost Shirt” malarkey, I would point them in the direction of Wounded Knee to explain the concept in greater detail to the Sioux who tried that route. Works equally well today.

I often wonder if they have any idea the number of missionaries who have been martyred in this century alone?

I do, can’t say what the rest know about.

http://www.persecution.net/informed.htm  one place to start for anyone who pleads ignorance of how many die on an annual basis.

Do they blame these missionaries for not "praying the hedge of protection" around themselves?  As if God's hands are tied until WE pray this or that into existence!   I will never forget our A.G. pastor when I attended a very large church in the late 70s whose young daughter had cancer.  I don't know what kind of cancer it was, but she had deformities in the shape of her head and face and it was clearly obvious to anyone that she was very very ill. One Sunday morning, as the child lay on a pillow in the pew in front of me, I overheard the pastor's wife say to someone "It's a miracle she's completely healed."  This seemed like a completely stupid thing to say.

In fact, it was not "faith talk" or "positive confession" it was an outright lie --- or else that poor mom was in a state of complete denial.   At a time when this family should have been preparing themselves and the siblings for this little girl's death, they instead thought it was somehow their responsibility to save their daughter's life by having enough faith. She died about a week later.

The senior pastor (now a consulting pastor) of my church has lost three of his

four children to cancer, the second eldest was the pastor of the church when he died.

No one has denied the results of, or the pain of the loss.

In think the central flaw in the Charismatic thinking is pride.  It is a mindset that God is sort of the O.S. working behind the scenes and nothing really happens until the user starts typing on the keyboard. The user is in full control, having installed the O.S.  – and the O.S. is there to serve the user, not the other way around.

Pride is a human failing, not a charismatic failing. When I hear that applied to charismatic churches I tend to ask the person posing the question if they are breathing, if they are, I ask if everyone in their church breathes?. The answer is typically – yes. Some make the connection, some don’t.

The major reason I joined a Charismatic church way back in the 70s is because I absolutely loved their zeal and their clapping and their raising their hands to God.  They really seemed to know what JOY was, and that's the way I felt in my heart but my church didn't act very happy.  That was also around the same time that musicians like Larry Norman were entering the scene,  and eventually many of the non-Charismatic churches caught up with the Charismatics where music and worship were concerned.

There is more to worship than music and songs, what we do in our lives to show the love of God to the unsaved is a form of worship, what we do when no one is watching can be a form of worship. The list goes on…

We have three primary “worship” teams plus a youth “worship” team (which played today BTW)all are worship all meet the need, some just worship faster than others.

When I first started in the Charismatic church, I even had someone pray for me to receive the Holy Spirit and after that people in my Charismatic small group kept calling that prayer my "spiritual birthday".

(?????) But that disturbed (it should!) me since I had been a born again Christian for many years and I knew I was saved – no doubt whatsoever.  I never adhered to the belief, in all the years I spent in the A.G. churches, that the baptism of the H.S. was a separate, one-time event.

With that I can disagree, it does seem to be a separate event,

but has nothing to do with being saved or not saved before that point.

My goal here is not to debate whether tongues are for today, or whether someone has this gift or that gift.  My point is that if you feel you have these gifts, then get your attitude in order before you even think  you are better than anyone else or you think you have "more of God" (I love that one) than another Christian.  Check your attitude before you start ordering God around and don't stop reading at the end of 1 Cor 12 because 1 Cor 13 is the rest of the message!

May I simply suggest we all need to do that?

In all you do, remember the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by the way really WAS AND IS better than everyone else but never ever acted in a condescending way even to the worst sinners.

We all need to humble ourselves before our maker and creator, in humility use our gifts, not letting the right hand know what the left hand is doing. Remember that there are people who are praying for their next meal, not for a new car or a bigger house.

One of the most profound things I ever learned, I learned from what I call a "full-blown-screaming" charismatic woman preacher whom I knew personally. She said that when sharing the gospel with the lost, people always ask questions like, "is it Ok to pray to Mary", or "is smoking a sin", or "what about all the evil in the world".  She said that she made it a point to always drive the conversation back to Jesus and avoid the tangents that lead away from introducing the person to Jesus Christ.

Sounds like a solid teacher. Stay focused on the goal, Christ. I’ll go along with that!

If our gifts or our attitudes or our actions have not originated with the goal of making a lasting impact for the kingdom of God then it's time to stop and think.  You may just be a clanging symbol. Forget what mere men may have told you about how great you are, or how much you deserve to be prosperous or the center of attention, or how you are entitled to certain things or how we should demand this or that from God.  (Try picturing yourself talking like that to God's face.)

John the Baptist said "He must increase, I must decrease".   You don't see people whose gift is picking up the trash or cleaning the church toilets with a blog show touting how God has given them the gift of toilet cleaning do you?  Yet the church toilet cleaner needs to check his or her attitude just as much as the "prophet" or "healer".

Study what God's word says, don't skip over the passages about suffering and poverty.  Study the lives of Christians who valued humility.  Examine yourself frequently and find an accountability partner. Consciously avoid speaking "Christianese".  And above all else, avoid the original sin, the one that got Satan kicked out of heaven and got Adam and Eve kicked out of paradise….the desire to be "God" or "Like God".  The best reading material I have found on this topic is at *www.equip.org <http://www.equip.org/>.  I have trusted this website for many years now and have found them to be accurate and factual on almost every topic. I'm still researching some things I have read there, but they are right on the money as far as the faith movement and Charismatic theology.

 Thanks for listening.

*Christianese Dictionary*

*Word of Knowledge*:  a person will (under the influence of what he or she says is the Holy Spirit) tell you something about yourself that you already know.  These words of knowledge are based on 1 Cor 12; and to date I have never actually seen one come true unless of course the "word" was sufficiently vague so that it is about as valuable as reading your horoscope.

*Prophesy* (*in the 21st century): quite honestly I'm not sure this is much different than the Word of Knowledge, except that Pat Robertson prophesied a famine in America that was supposed to occur sometime back in the late 80s I think, and Benny Hinn prophesied that Jesus would stand with him in the flesh on the stage at his Kenya revival.  Silly me thought that when Jesus returned to earth he'd be coming on the clouds and something about a trumpet…..

*Hedge of Protection:  *another of my favorites.  About the best way to describe this is to tell a true story.  A depressed woman who had been robbed/burglarized 3 times in one year came to church to seek answers.

When she asked "why" the church leader smiled with the most condescending grin and replied as if talking to a child…"now who's fault was all that?"  The woman was puzzled and said she didn't understand the question.  He went on to tell her that none of those things would have happened to her if she had prayed the hedge of protection around herself.

*Plead the Blood:  You'll have to google this one  because I don't have a clue.*

*The 3-second rule:  *that's when you drop the last cookie and you find an excuse to eat it.  – technically not Christianese but I thought we needed a break.

*The spirit of:  smoking, drinking, anger, poopy diapers, etc*.:  this is the Charismatic's way of blaming the devil for everything that goes wrong. The irony is that for the most part, Charismatics are really into the power trip, except for when it comes to personal responsibility oftentimes.  In order to quit smoking or get a loved one to quit, they will pray against the spirit of tobacco…I just made up the poopy diapers part, I know for a fact that Charismatics potty train their kids.

*Spiritual Birthday – *usually this means the day a person is born again. However in my case they labeled the day I "got" the Holy Spirit my spiritual birthday.  In all seriousness, this is the most important day a person can ever experience.

*Point of faith*:  this generally amounts to some snake oil televangelist selling you some asinine object for 100 times what it's worth so that you will get that special prayer answered.  They will tell you that the object itself has no power, but it acts as a point of faith so that the Holy Spirit can answer your prayer (note the emphasis on the power f your faith here).

My absolute all time #1 favorite point of faith object was a photo of a life sized hand of Oral Roberts.  This thing was photo of the front and back of his hand, and it was attached to a little stick so you could put it anywhere that you needed healing.   To this day I wish I had that thing it would go for a bunch on Ebay I'll bet.

*The anointing*:  this one gets on my last nerve.  People go church shopping looking for a church that has the "anointing".  This usually means that they want to feel good when they leave.  Once this Charismatic was complaining that our pastor didn't have the "anointing.  (She came to our church because she felt God sent her to us to straighten us out – I'm not kidding). (steer clear of those, very very clear!!)  When I asked her what the heck that actually means she got really angry with me….probably because she suddenly realized that there was nothing in her thinking that was scriptural.  She never did answer my question.  She's now WHENEVER a person stands up, or cries out, or makes a noise like  “Thus sayeth the Lord of Heaven” I have been rude enough to saunter over and ask them what part of merry old England they happen to be from, and which dialect of Hebrew they were speaking in and/or which Arch Angel they might happen to be. It never won me any friends, but my A.G. pastor always backed me up, he couldn’t put up with it either. moved on to another church.   My bible says that all believers are anointed.  1 John 2:20, 1 John 2:27.

*Binding Satan*:  This practice implies that we physically "bind" Satan rendering him powerless over us after we say this.  It is usually said in a prayer but it is usually the person praying that causes the "binding" to happen.  So you may hear someone say "I bind you Satan in Jesus' name" during prayer.  Now I'm not of the opinion that our conversations with God should also be conversations with Satan, so on it's face I just think the practice is off base.  I'm sure there are many books on this topic.

I note that at no point in the Bible does any one imply that any being except God the Father exerts any power over Satan.

All in all, not that short a rebuttal I suppose.

The bottom line from my perspective is that you have had experiences with failed human beings,

One note regarding the mention of a large charismatic church. I’ve never seen a large charismatic church stay on track. They get to big and the fall of the track, they lose the focus of Christ and the whole deal begins to focus on “the mission” or “the ministries”, when the focus fails at any time to be Christ it’s time to consider how to fix that, or where to go to church except where that is going on.

One test I use is after being in a church for a year or two, can I recognize 90% of the people who go there, and do they recognize me? If I can (and I do) then it’s small enough to maintain accountability to and by my brothers and sisters in Christ.
