Best-selling author says 5,000 terrorists have been rolled up by feds since 9/11

A New York Times best-selling author says his new book will provide definitive insight into why the FBI and CIA need to be praised for their efforts in preventing the United States from being hit with a terrorist attack since 9/11.

In Ronald Kessler's book The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to Stop the Next Attack, he wants to make it clear that if the United States wins this war, it will be because of the way FBI and CIA professionals have protected America following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

"This is really a great success story, and it involves everyone from George Bush to the men and women of the FBI and the CIA who work incredible hours to protect us -- and yet all they get is [demonized] in the press," Kessler argues. "Since 9/11, 5,000 terrorists have been rolled up worldwide by the FBI and the CIA. So that's a major reason we've not been attacked.

"Kessler says President Bush also needs to be commended because he told the FBI director that he wanted to prevent the next attack, and that is why the focus became prevention-oriented.
