Rush Likes What Fred Thompson is Saying

Dear Friends,

I am writing to ask for your help.Last August, I took a leave of absence from my job and moved my family halfway across the country because I believe strongly in Fred Thompson. It's great that so many conservative leaders and commentators are noticing what I saw from the first time I worked with Fred: He's a principled, thoughtful conservative. Last Thursday, Rush Limbaugh was talking about the CNN/YouTube Debate when he said this:

There was one candidate who did not display any moderateness or liberalism
or have any of his past forays into those areas displayed, and that candidate was
Fred Thompson.

I couldn't agree more. Fred is a sharp contrast to the other candidates.

Rush went on to say:

We have a campaign now where most of the candidates are not genuine
conservatives. They may be saying they are, but in their past they have done
some things that are not conservative in any way, shape, manner, or form.

Yesterday, Rush talked about Fred's recent interview with Charlie Rose. Again, Fred impressed the talk radio king by befuddling Rose with a discussion of conservative principles. This makes no sense to liberals who see the expansion of government as the only political principle.

As Rush always says, Republicans don't win by being Democrats. We win by being conservatives. We're never going to out-tax and out-spend Democrats. We shouldn't even try. In fact, we should do the opposite -- cut taxes, cut government, and defend life.

Fred's 100% pro-life voting record, endorsement by National Right to Life, and many years of cutting taxes and opposing government waste prove Fred is what he says he is: a consistent conservative.

Fred will secure our borders, enforce our laws, cut taxes, and strengthen our military. He has a plan to reform Social Security and will fight for strict constructionist judges on the federal courts.

This is where you come in--Fred and I need your help.

Would you consider helping Fred get his consistent conservative message out to the American people?

In last week's debate, Fred's conservatism impressed Rush. Will you help Fred impress even more Americans with his conservative message?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

William B. Lacy, Campaign Manager
