What a Weekend!
This year was the 40th annual Heritage Days Celebration in our small town. We grow from our normal population of around 3,000 to between 35 and 40,000 people for the weekend.
It is your typical small town festival. Lots of good food, plenty of craft booths, tons of other things to spend your money on, and just an old fashioned good time. This year was may have been the best in my 5 years here.
It has really been great getting to know John Lind of the Presidential Prayer Team. We had been together before, but being his host, we have really been able to spend good quality time. He is one of those "big shots" that acts nothing like what that title usually stands for. It's just been a great weekend.
Here is the thing that I am most proud of about our Heritage Days Event. The weekend begins with a Gospel Music concert on Friday night, and ends with the God & Country Rally on Sunday night.
God is right where He belongs - in the beginning and in the end, which normally means that He is right there in the middle of everything going on!
God Bless America - it's the best there is and I say "Love it or leave it" !!!!
